Delaware Springs Golf Course
About
Named after the springs that snake through the layout, Delaware Springs Golf Course is a scenic links-style track that is one of the better values in Texas golf. The low prices and friendly service, combined with a picturesque and challenging golf course, make this a Hill Country favorite.
Architects Dave Axland and Dan Proctor built a natural-looking course that fits the terrain perfectly. The course is nestled into the rolling hills and oak trees along the Highland Lakes, playing 6,891 yards from the tips. During your round you’ll encounter lush fairways frequently loaded with bunkers, large greens that slope severely, and numerous bump and run shots. The designers added a few original touches, such as the descriptive Scottish names for each hole (the 18th is called "Hame" for the home hole).
Another interesting design twist involved placing the signature hole as the opener. Playing 504 yards to a par 5, no. 1 is best attacked with an iron into the left side of a sloping, tree-lined fairway. The creek cuts into the landing area, making it a testy tee shot. The second shot must bend around the dogleg to the left and over the creek, and the approach is into the green shaded by large trees on the right.

Delaware Springs 8/19/2024
Always in Great Shape. Staff is excellent also. Best course in my opinion in Hill Country for public course.
TERRIBLE experience
This was our first experience to this golf course and was looking forward to it, drove 3 1/2 half hours to play this course. Right off the bat, did not feel welcomed by staff or members. Did not get a greeting nor a second look.
Marshall told us that it was a one putt rule for this play. Spoke with members, and they said that they did not know what she was talking about. Doesn’t make sense why she would tell us that. Got sandwich between two groups of five, first group was slow and second group was fast. Before we could even get to our second shot, the other group behind us was already on the box hitting into us. Felt rushed, play was very slow. Ended up playing four holes and just said, screw this and left. I do not recommend this place for anyone to try to have fun. We will NEVER be back.
Nice
It’s a great course for beginners to intermediate golfers.
Great for scratch golfers.
Course was absolutely amazing can’t complain about that at all. Staff was amazing. If you’re a scratch golfer that enjoys playing your rounds with other random scratch golfers this is for you! But if you’re trying to just enjoy the day with you as a higher handicapped this isn’t for you. I play to enjoy the day and try to improve my game kit try to play keep up.
Great as Always
Best greens around. Fairways are lush. Always worth the drive.
Thank you for the kind words about our greens and fairways! We're glad you find the drive worth it.
Great Day for Golf
Del Springs is one of my favorites. Great value, the course is in great condition and the staff was fantastic. Unfortunately, the pace of play was a little slow today. It was so slow, that I had to cut my round short after 16 since I needed to be home.
The choice to cut the round short was mine, since I had a commitment, but most likely would have finished if the pace was a little bit normal.
I will be back, because I love this place. It’s certainly a gem in the Hill Country.
Thanks
Thank you for the positive feedback and for highlighting areas where we can improve. We apologize for the slow pace that affected your game and are working on solutions to ensure a more fluid experience for all.
Nice intermediate course
It’s a very nice course that is not too difficult. Nice amenities at the course and friendly people.
Thank you for your positive feedback and for highlighting our friendly staff and amenities. We're glad you enjoyed your time on our course!
Hidden Gem
Course is in great condition with some of the best greens for a public course in Texas. Always love playing here however, over the years I've played it, the value seems to be diminishing. It's now just as expensive as other courses I play in the Austin area. But, still worth the drive and playing different courses. Cafe onsite is good. Practice facilities could use improvement, especially the driving range. No beverage service the day we played.
Great Texas Hill Country Track!!!
Play it. Lots of golf surprises can lay ahead on this course. Challenging and fair. Enjoy
Great course! Great value!
The course was in really good condition and the value was great. They could have used another person in the grill area to keep up with the pace of customers but the staff was great. A cart beverage person is needed to take the pressure off the grill. Overall experience was a 4.5 out of 5. Have already recommended this gem in the hill country multiple times this week and I will be back.
Thank you for your valuable feedback. We're thrilled you enjoyed the course and our staff but understand your thoughts on player matching.
