About
Named after the springs that snake through the layout, Delaware Springs Golf Course is a scenic links-style track that is one of the better values in Texas golf. The low prices and friendly service, combined with a picturesque and challenging golf course, make this a Hill Country favorite.
Architects Dave Axland and Dan Proctor built a natural-looking course that fits the terrain perfectly. The course is nestled into the rolling hills and oak trees along the Highland Lakes, playing 6,891 yards from the tips. During your round you’ll encounter lush fairways frequently loaded with bunkers, large greens that slope severely, and numerous bump and run shots. The designers added a few original touches, such as the descriptive Scottish names for each hole (the 18th is called "Hame" for the home hole).
Another interesting design twist involved placing the signature hole as the opener. Playing 504 yards to a par 5, no. 1 is best attacked with an iron into the left side of a sloping, tree-lined fairway. The creek cuts into the landing area, making it a testy tee shot. The second shot must bend around the dogleg to the left and over the creek, and the approach is into the green shaded by large trees on the right.

Hidden gem
I almost hate reviewing this course out of selfishness. Second time I've played Delaware Springs and once again it exceeded expectations. Excellent practice facilities, good layout (although a few more right to left holes than fits my game), friendly staff, and during an extended drought in the hill country they've managed to keep the greens not only alive but in excellent condition! Overall the pace was a little slow but that's the ONLY fault I may mention. But it was a weekend round and with this heat EVERYONE wants to play early. Headed back this Tuesday with 3 buddies and am looking forward to it! Kudos Delaware Springs and you better keep that greens superintendent!!
Delaware Springs is a hidden gem
Course was in great shape given the drought we're in. The only thing they did not have is a beverage cart person and that would have been helpful.

Great Course
Challenging but playable course. Friendly staff. Greens are in much better condition than many area courses struggling in this summer’s heat wave and drought conditions. Strangely though, given the nice greens, some of the tee boxes really need attention. Great place to play despite the minor annoyance on the tees. I will definitely play this course again.

I'll be back!
I finally made it out to Delaware Springs this weekend and found it to be a delightful experience. The course was wonderful with challenging undulating greens and lots of wildlife watching us hack my way around the course. Everyone that I talked to was quite friendly. I'll definitely play here again when I another chance!

Enjoyed a lot

Well worth 30-60 min drive to play here
Go give this course a shot. Best experience I've had at a municipal. Greens roll awesome, I could write a book about how good this course is but just believe me and go play it.

Long Time No Time
I have not played the course in a decade, but Delaware Crossing never disappoints. Course was in immaculate shape, greens were rolling nice and fairways were as green as can be. Never disappointed with this course even though it is a bit short.

A great value for your money
This course is always worth the price every time. The pace of play was great at 4 hours, the course is in great shape and is just the right level of difficulty. There are deer all over the course and it feels secluded enough to feel like a very fancy course. My daughter and I love playing here every time. We drive an hour to get to the course but it is well worth it!

Perfect Mornin….
Weather was spectacular…. Able to hit a bucket of balls, do some chipping and putting, then got on it early before the heat kicked in.
Course in awesome condition, and greens rolled beautifully. The staff was awesome too… Young Blake was a pleasure to visit with, and the greens keepers were awesome too. Thank you for a pleasurable experience!

Must play this course again!!
Absolutely blown away with this course. It is summer and hot, yet conditions were perfect. Fairways are lush and greens are beautiful. Drove an hour to play here as I had heard it was nice. Price is perfect too!! Course was better than most Austin courses and half the price. Will be back!!
