About
Named after the springs that snake through the layout, Delaware Springs Golf Course is a scenic links-style track that is one of the better values in Texas golf. The low prices and friendly service, combined with a picturesque and challenging golf course, make this a Hill Country favorite.
Architects Dave Axland and Dan Proctor built a natural-looking course that fits the terrain perfectly. The course is nestled into the rolling hills and oak trees along the Highland Lakes, playing 6,891 yards from the tips. During your round you’ll encounter lush fairways frequently loaded with bunkers, large greens that slope severely, and numerous bump and run shots. The designers added a few original touches, such as the descriptive Scottish names for each hole (the 18th is called "Hame" for the home hole).
Another interesting design twist involved placing the signature hole as the opener. Playing 504 yards to a par 5, no. 1 is best attacked with an iron into the left side of a sloping, tree-lined fairway. The creek cuts into the landing area, making it a testy tee shot. The second shot must bend around the dogleg to the left and over the creek, and the approach is into the green shaded by large trees on the right.

The course is great. Parking is terrible
For the course to be as popular as it is, the parking is terrible. I have no clue how they would efficiently conduct a tournament

Great Course!
Had a great time playing today, course is in great shape. There was some confusion for my group as they were having people start on hole ten instead of the front 9, which no one told us when we checked in. Also, not sure why you need a receipt or number for The Marshall to check you in on a tee time. No one would drive all the way out to burnet and lie about not paying for their tee time.
With that said, it was a really busy day, and I think staff were just trying to do their best.
Once we started playing it was fantastic. Course is in incredible shape, fairways are mowed low and they are fast, greens are fantastic, and Marshall’s were super helpful on the course as some people left their wedges, dropped equipment - the usual.
Definitely will be back, this is a hill country gem!

Best bang for your buck
I miss two of the proshop personnel. I appreciated how they would announce on the speaker that our tee-time was up and to drive to the first tee box.

Go Play It!!!
If you like the TX hill country, then please play this course. It is a jewel in the hill country
We played 1 and 1/2 holes and it started pouring down rain in the middle of the first hole.
That staff was very friendly about the situation and we hope to try it again soon.
Was going to take pictures but we looked like a drowned rats lol.

Gem
What amazing greens! I almost do not want to write this review as others may find this course. This is one of the most fun places in central Texas. Great round with a really fun pairing. Incredibly unique track and the eye deceives you a lot, just fun.

Great day, and as usual course was outstanding
From the go Blake accommodated my third player. He’s always solid. Course is lighting quick and greens flawless for the time of year. Again, private club staffs around the CTX area should come see how its done.

Very slow play
Tees off a good 10-15 minutes behind our scheduled tee time and the had a five some playing in front of us. Pace was so slow we ended up just playing 9 as we knew we would not be able to finish all 18 before dark.

Course is always I great shape. Had a frost delay this morning which is expected in December. With Doug Fipps and Bear leaving the Pro Shop going to be a customer service nightmare is coming. Had all kinds of confusingly things going on. Staff behind counter had what appeared to no idea what was going on. Loving playing Delaware Springs but needs to get staff trained
