About
Named after the springs that snake through the layout, Delaware Springs Golf Course is a scenic links-style track that is one of the better values in Texas golf. The low prices and friendly service, combined with a picturesque and challenging golf course, make this a Hill Country favorite.
Architects Dave Axland and Dan Proctor built a natural-looking course that fits the terrain perfectly. The course is nestled into the rolling hills and oak trees along the Highland Lakes, playing 6,891 yards from the tips. During your round you’ll encounter lush fairways frequently loaded with bunkers, large greens that slope severely, and numerous bump and run shots. The designers added a few original touches, such as the descriptive Scottish names for each hole (the 18th is called "Hame" for the home hole).
Another interesting design twist involved placing the signature hole as the opener. Playing 504 yards to a par 5, no. 1 is best attacked with an iron into the left side of a sloping, tree-lined fairway. The creek cuts into the landing area, making it a testy tee shot. The second shot must bend around the dogleg to the left and over the creek, and the approach is into the green shaded by large trees on the right.

Great course for the money
For the money this is a good course. The greens look nice, but the surface is hard, causing most approach shots to roll off
In Great Shape, As Always
Nothing really not to like about Delaware Springs. It's an interesting layout, in good shape, at a reasonable price. The "wow factor" this particular day was the speed of the greens. I like greens fast and smooth, and they exceeded all my expectations. A lot of care had to be taken with downhill and down-grain putts to keep them around the hole. The other thing to watch out for is the firm fairways. After a month with no rain, it's easy for tee shots to run out into the trees, and Delaware has a lot of trees! All and all, we had a great time and look forward to going back.
Guess we need rain
Ball rolled quickly in the fairways. Greens were hard to hold. Should have snuck up on the greens instead of hitting for the pins. Nice area and staff members were excellent. liked the practice area also. We enjoyed our day!

With the break in the Texas weather (cold front bringing the temperature into the 90’s) grin…. We had a beautiful day and the course is in incredible condition. Thank you for your continued course maintenance and services.
I want to love it there
The course from a golf stand point is great. Really good condiition and challenging. It has a great layout. Clubhouse and pro shop are good overall, food is decent and priced well. Pro Shop is stocked well enought.
My continued challenge is the staff. I just blew it off the first time I played there, and let it go the second time. This last time I just had enough. The staff, at least ones ones I have dealt with are incredibly rude and unfriendly. It's incredibly disappointing given how good the course could be.
Challenging course . Good maintenance all the way around . Great greens maintenance.good speed even with them recovering well from aeration. The clubhouse is very clean and the staff are eager to be at service. Can't wait to go play again.
