The Ravines Golf Club
About
Ravines Golf Club is southwest Michigan's first Arnold Palmer signature course. The course is situated three hours outside of Detroit in Saugatuck. Thanks to wide fairways and generous landing areas, the layout is not as tough as it seems but it does have plenty of challenges in store. Strategically placed bunkers, mature trees, and wetlands all come into play throughout. There are some challenging holes on the front half, including the sixth and seventh, but the back nine opens with the golf course's toughest hole. The ninth is a long and difficult par 5 dogleg left where trees, water, and bunkers come into play. Ravines Golf Club's signature hole, though, is the par-3 17th, known for both its scenery and level of difficulty. This hole requires a risky shot over a ravine to one of the golf course's largest putting surfaces.

Challenging par 5 - tee shot over the ravine Photo submitted by u00000638985 on 06/03/2013
Awesome course with up north feel
This course was very enjoyable. Challenging but fair, with fairways that are wide enough for all levels of players.
Game on!
Arnie carved an A1 course into some beautiful Michigan terrain. Generous fairways get narrow and serious real quick. Study the accurate GPS in the cart and choose your club wisely.
A Michigan must-play just like the signs say.
Nice——-again
Course in excellent shape. Greens fast but expected -same as last week. Pace just a little slow- only as the 4some ahead of us spent quite a bit of time looking for their golf balls- but liveable. Food at turn was quite good.
Nice!!
Expected busy and it was- but pace was not that bad at all. Course was in very good shape as were the fast greens. Staff friendly and helpful.
course was in great shape, the new owners have finally started having a refreshment cart for some cold beverages on the course! The cart was brought to my car before I was able to get out and back to the trunk, great customer service.
One of the Best Three in West Micjphigan
Excellent layout and superb scenery. Playable by all level of golfers. Excellent staff, Just wished I lived a little closer so I could play it all the time!
Fun course and worth It at discounted rate
Do yourself a favor and just keep your driver in the car. Tight course tons of blind landing spots. I honestly don’t think the course is worth peak season fees so book with a hot deal. I would rank it as a $55-$60 type course (with cart). With that said, not too many public courses with this layout.
Great day!
The course was in great shape for this late in the year. Great value!
Love this track
If you ever get the chance to play here make sure you do. I’ve played all over the place and this is one of my favorites. Every hole has a different layout and the course is always in great shape.
Very strategic course.
Minimal grip and rip. I think I hit driver on 6 holes. The rest were irons. Every hole requires a strategy.
Tee boxes were a disappointment. Chunked up and weeds. Greens were also beat up from lazy players who don’t fix ball marks. I bet I fixed 3-4 per green. I just don’t understand why golfers are so disrespectful on such a nice course.
Given conditions I think it’s a $50 a round course. Certainly not $70ish. I only paid $40 so was happy with value.
I’d play this course again if price was right.
Beautiful and challenging
The course is a gem. Layout makes you think carefully on many holes...very few situations where you just step up to the tee and swing away. Good course management a must. Really beautiful setting.
Very Nice Course !
Great course in great shape. Very challenging for most golfers. Beautiful course and views.
Nice course that will challenge you.
Nice course but just make sure you are long off the tee as there are several holes with waste areas you need to drive over. Blue and white tees fair for most players. Greens have fair amount of slope to them so approach placement is key.
Thumbs up.
Nice course in good shape. Very friendly staff. A good value for the price. Will definitely play there again.
