The Ravines Golf Club
About
Ravines Golf Club is southwest Michigan's first Arnold Palmer signature course. The course is situated three hours outside of Detroit in Saugatuck. Thanks to wide fairways and generous landing areas, the layout is not as tough as it seems but it does have plenty of challenges in store. Strategically placed bunkers, mature trees, and wetlands all come into play throughout. There are some challenging holes on the front half, including the sixth and seventh, but the back nine opens with the golf course's toughest hole. The ninth is a long and difficult par 5 dogleg left where trees, water, and bunkers come into play. Ravines Golf Club's signature hole, though, is the par-3 17th, known for both its scenery and level of difficulty. This hole requires a risky shot over a ravine to one of the golf course's largest putting surfaces.

Challenging par 5 - tee shot over the ravine Photo submitted by u00000638985 on 06/03/2013
Fun Course
Had a good time. Course was a fun layout and in okay condition. Greens were a touch slow. Would play again. Only negative was that it was very buggy out.
Great course
The Ravines is just a great golf course. It's even better being able to play such a great course by using GolfNow for reduced rates. Awesome course, especially near sunset. I would recommend the course to anyone.
Great for spring
Course was wet but great condition considering the weather we had last couple days. Definitely want to come back in summer!
fun, unique, challenging
Great condition for late fall, w/o many leaves. Good test, very scenic .
Great course
Overall The Ravines is my second favorite michigan course behind Arcadia Bluffs. Great price.
beautiful course
It was in great shape! Great looking course! I just got bored with hitting 2 iron all day. My first drive of the day was on hole 14 and my last drive of the day was on hole 15. I hit 5 iron off two of the par 5s. It was almost a whole round of target golf. That being said, I'm glad I made the trip to play it once.

The course was in great shape for late season play. I will play it again. $18 was a great price.
Great Course
Our weather could have been better but what a great course. Very challenging layout but in great shape. After playing Harbor Shores and then this, I would come back here. The layout is fair to the player and yet challenging by design. Not tricky by design, but you have to hit good shots and that's what I like about it.
Awesome course
Great course, played it twice in the last 2 months. The first time everything was moving at a good pace, the second time things were every slow. Two foursomes in front of my twosome that would wait at every green for their friends really held up pace, this really isnt a fault of the course just annoying. I would like to think a course this nice would have a ranger to monitor the pace of play. The grounds looked great for being late September, fairways nice and clean, and greens still lightning fast. Over all great course. Would take friends there anytime.
Beautiful Day Beautiful Course
played The Ravines for the first time this year. Brought a friend who had never been and it knocked his socks off. Course was in great shape just before the aeration process begins. Greens were fast and true. Pace of play was slowed by 2 4-somes that seemingly couldn't afford to lose a golf ball.
public course with prive course qualities
As one who finds beauty an important quality of golfing ... this is a high on that quality. Other qualities are fun and challenging ... a high quality course.
Use your three wood
U can drive thru the fairways if your not spot on with your placement.
A visitor from Florida
It was cool with a little bit of rain but the course was in great condition and everyone was very nice. Very scenic and greens were in good shape.
Beautiful Course!
Visually beautiful, and very challenging!! Every hole requires targeting. Exciting to play and makes you think about club selection from tee to green. Fun to play!
Every Hole Secluded
First time at the Ravines; won't be my last. I absolutely loved this course.
arnies course
What a great value. Ravines was a wonderful course to play . Very challenging and the course was in excellent shape. It was worth the drive.
Great!!!
Wonderful course in great condition. We had the course to ourselves on a gorgeous Thursday AM. Definitely a must-play if you are visiting te area.
Fun course, a little overpriced
Enjoyed the course, despite being a little overpriced. Some really cool holes, although the greens were a little slow that day. (heard they are usually faster when talking with some regulars after the round).
Only issue was staff was a little cold and not talkative.
one of the premier courses to plsy in West Michigan
Absolutely in great condition as always. Pace of play was good. Fairways were soft and greens a little firmer than normal. Very scenic yet is a little more forgiving off the tee. I always look forward to playing the Ravines two or three times per year.
Ravines - A very nice golf course
I chose to play Ravines due to the excellent rate I got using teetimes.com. We tee'd off at 7:40am on a Saturday and played the entire roundin 3 1/2 hours. The place was pretty much deserted which really surprised me given it was a Saturday morning with excellent weather. The course was in great condition. Plan to play again this year.
