Kiva Dunes Golf Course

The course needs to instruct the staff to monitor slow pace groups. We are all out for a good time but having groups walk to weeds for a lost ball for 10 minutes plus is nuts! I’ve played this course several times and slow play is the norm. The staff are very nice people but someone needs to take charge and move groups along. Course is in great shape with some issues with greens but overall a good experience and ok value. If your in the area I do recommend to play Kiva but do study the course layout, it will help you in several blind and trouble areas.

Wasn't quite as nice as I'd hoped. No holes with an ocean view, but still plenty of water. Extremely windy so tough club selections. Fairly expensive. However, did get to play as a twosome which was great!

Played in rain most of the round. Not a sprinkle but something shy of a monsoon. Golf now app is pain “Hot deal” is not so hot when you have no other choice but to play on. Sales are final. And the staff cant help w refunds.

As for the course, it’s challenging. You will not like it if you are worse than say 15hdcp. No room to spray. Greens are quick but not impossible. Maintenance did a poor job on several greens getting the cup replaced at the right height. Lots of Scapled circles and low spots from low core plug replacements. They still had rakes removed from traps. Nice yardage book given to you to help pick your line on t shots. Friendly staff and decent grub for lunch.

Played down here while on vacation. We played a couple courses on Gulf Shore and this was by far the most memorable courses. Top notch services and staff. If I’m down here again I would defiantly play here again.

Next time I’m in the area I’m only going to play this course

Kiva Dunes is a really nice course. We were greeted by friendly staff. I got a hot deal of the day which was a great value. They have a nice practice area and range balls included. We were paired with some very nice folks from other states that were a joy to play with. It started raining hard on #6 so we came into cart barn until it passed then resumed and finished 18. Some who had gone in came out late and jumped in front of us which really slowed pace of play. Overall I was really happy with course condition and layout. Although it is close to ocean there are no ocean views.

I played here today and as usual, the staff treat you with respect and always willing to accommodate the customers/golfers need...

I hadn’t played this course in several years, but like always it didn’t disappoint. The starter went out of his way to accommodate me since I was by myself and asked if I wanted to play alone or with someone else. I chose to play with another golfer and we had a great time. The staff in the clubhouse and even the cart girl were very friendly and very hospitable. I had a great experience...thanks Kiva!

Played here while on vacation in gulf shores. After much research decided this was the best public course I could find. Was not disappointed. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful including the marshall, he was present but not overbearing. Everyone I talked to there agreed this was the best course und that area. Front was was somewhat easy but the back nine really turned it on. Greens had recently been sanded so they were slower than I would have liked, but I expect they’d be great in a couple weeks. If you wanna play good course in the area that isn’t just a tourist course this is definitely your best bet! Highly recommend

A gem definitely should play if you are in the area! Great condition and a interesting sweet layout think links with some target golf! Fast greens and a consistent ocean breeze make for a challenging game of golf. Friendly staff a highly recommended play!

The course stood up really well to the rainy start of the round. The fairways were in great shape! The greens were true and fast even with the rain. Great value for the money paid through Golfnow. Overall fantastic experience!!
