Golf Now and Coyote Creek Glitch
Apparently there was a glitch between Golf Now booking and Coyote Creek , which over booked the afternoon. Our original tee time was 1:50PM for a foursome. We were told the soonest we could play was over an hour later. The staff tried to compensate for this booking error by providing (1) large bucket of balls for the driving range for a foursome. After this inconvenience, we finally got the green light to tee off, only to have one of the carts die on the second hole, which is a good distance from the club house. It took (5) phone call attempts to get through to the club house to swap carts. We were told they would provide a new cart right away.... FORTY FIVE (45) minutes later, they finally replaced the cart. The only reasoning they had was due to the overbooking and "one of those days". The manger told us we would be comped for the round, but I still have the charge pending.... Overall it was a poor experience and a seven hour round. Totally understand a bad day, but it how you react that defines you......
Best course in Santa Clara Valley
The Tournament course is by far the best course in Santa Clara Valley and surrounding area I always find the play and condition to be excellent. This last time the greens were punched and sanded. i realize this needs to be done but the staff did not mention this condition when asked about tee times or when we checked in. I would have play elsewhere and then played Tournament course in a couple of weeks when greens return to normal
The round was extremely slow, took more than 5 hours to finish the round.
Take a good book
The four some in front of us were 1 hole then two holes then three holes behind the group in front of them. Marshal insisted they were with in the course of play. Can you spell torture? I like the course but they should roll the greens. I'll need to skip this course until I forget this day
Fun course
Coyote creek can be really fun if you're hitting it straight. There is danger on both sides, so make sure you bring a few extra balls.
The front nine is a little easier. The last two holes are the toughest because the wind blows strong and there's water everywhere.
awesome conditions
One of my favorite courses in the south san jose area. the course conditions are similar to a private country club. Great Tee boxes, fairways are cut with some rough on edges, greens roll true with subtle breaks.
The tournament course is worth the challenges!!
Windy
Very windy and usually windy. Challenging especially because of the wind
The course is always in top notch condition
Have played several times here and I have yet to be disappointed in its condition. The staff is very friendly and helpful. As an example I forgot my putter this last visit and Shawn at the pro shop immediately loaned me one. I had a great experience with the putter. Definitely will be playing many more rounds here.
Coyote Creek near San Jose
Interesting, friendly, very well maintained and yet also challenging course. The wind blows generally down the valley and so when hitting into the wind on several holes it is pretty tough to reach the greens in regulation. Traffic noise from proximity to the adjacent freeway was unexpected given that setting is lovely and really very scenic. Pace of play is slow but goes with the challenging layout and the wind - most players needing more shots to reach the greens. Will definitely visit the course again.
this course has great features
A very nice course layout, challenge course for mid to low handie players. Windy day which will test your adjustment on club selections. Great grass condition at fairway and green, sand trap as well. Friendly service at pro-shop, easy and relax Sunday afternoon. Definitely a good golf course worth to go.
