The course is always in top notch condition
Have played several times here and I have yet to be disappointed in its condition. The staff is very friendly and helpful. As an example I forgot my putter this last visit and Shawn at the pro shop immediately loaned me one. I had a great experience with the putter. Definitely will be playing many more rounds here.
Coyote Creek near San Jose
Interesting, friendly, very well maintained and yet also challenging course. The wind blows generally down the valley and so when hitting into the wind on several holes it is pretty tough to reach the greens in regulation. Traffic noise from proximity to the adjacent freeway was unexpected given that setting is lovely and really very scenic. Pace of play is slow but goes with the challenging layout and the wind - most players needing more shots to reach the greens. Will definitely visit the course again.
this course has great features
A very nice course layout, challenge course for mid to low handie players. Windy day which will test your adjustment on club selections. Great grass condition at fairway and green, sand trap as well. Friendly service at pro-shop, easy and relax Sunday afternoon. Definitely a good golf course worth to go.
Fantastic fast greens
The course was in very excellent shape, the greens are completely healed from the aeration back 6 to 8 weeks ago, they were fast and ran very true. We began @ 12:30, played in 4 hours, no problem with any slow golfers on the course.
There are two goofy designed holes on the course that make you lay up to a river and then have a nearly 200 third yard shot to the green. The course has some difficult holes, some tricky holes, but enjoy playing a place that is truly properly maintained.
There was a tournament ahead of the tee time. It took 5 1/2 hours to complete the round. Pace of play was very slow.
Better than ever
The tournament course, and the Valley too has always been kept in tip top shape. It’s easy to recall the the Senior PGA used to have a tour stop there. Great layout, challenging but fair. We got paired with a mid handicap-capper (like us) that had never played the course before. Honestly there were about 3 times we steered him away from the seemingly obvious but treacherous routes but otherwise, what you see is what you get. Greens had been punched in the last month but the new growth was taking very well. Thanks for a great day Coyote Creek.
My Favorite
I like the challenge... I don't recommend if you are not playing your best. But the layout is fun And requires careful thought to decision .
Windy but fun
Extremely windy location. Always blows here, but really challenging layout and a lot of fun. A Hot deal I would do again for sure.
Good experience overall - the only negative was the cart's GPS system which was faulty and finally quit after 9 holes
The Tournament Course is always a challenge. With some wind and greens that were aerated about 10 days prior, a bit more of a challenge. I was paired with one other player, and we completed our round in less than 4 hours. Enjoyable.
Coyote Creek Tournament Course
Rained overnight so cartpath only. Fairways and greens in great condition and 16-18th holes are challenging and fun.
Opening day of The Masters
It was opening day of The Masters.
And all I could think about was to take advantage of the day. Then come home and watch The Masters later on that night. The course is coming around , sand traps are clean and well manicured. Fairways are looking great and in perfect shape. The greens were running fast but challenging. The staff was very nice and accommodating.
I will definitely be back here next week!
Good, Bsd and Ugly
Great course and play regularly, unfortunately not so great golfer. Maintenance stsff are getting a handle on the pig damage and hoping the fencing prevents future mischief. No advisory about the greens being punched, so that was a disappointing surprise and GPS was down making for more challenge.
The Tournament course is very challenging. After talking to one of the marshalls played from the gold tees. Course in perfect shape. Some pig damage. Had breakfast there and ordered a breakfast burrito. Wow it was AWESOME. ALL STAFF MEMBERS were very very friendly and took care of all my questions. Use the gps on the carts. Jack would be proud of how this course is maintained. Will definitely be back with more players.
