Covid is over, where’s the staff and why do all the worst golfers play here
Cart service personnel is missing.
Everything food wise shuts down after 4 basically.
The place is more packed then before Covid and they charge more so not sure why they can’t have minimal staff to serve late lunch or early dinner, or have a cart going around like they used to.
After a long round everyone tugs on the dinning room doors and they’re done for the day.
An average 18 round takes 6 hours. This is the spot to learn the game if you have money and NEVER have golfed before. Thanks goodness you have brand new PXGs and head covers for all your clubs.
It feels like they’re making the same amount of money, probably more so why keep the dining room open after 4 with less customer service.
They’re in desperate need to help them understand that the dining room and food/beverage service on the course can actually be profitable if they weren’t being so cheap.
I’ve been stuck behind one of the owners before on the tourney course and the Marshall told me, yea… that’s one of the owners so we’re not pressuring them on playing faster.
Get your stif together and start worrying about paying customers.
Other than that, great track
Fast Greens, Slow Play
My second time out at this course. The highlight again was the greens. They are fast and true and require calculated approach shots if you want to stay on the green.
From the very first hole, my group of two golfers was held up by the groups ahead. A pair of father/son combos where the dad’s weren’t playing but rather they were instructing their sons. In my experience, this is the absolute slowest group you can get stuck behind. What was weird is that there were more than a couple of these groups spread throughout the course. I have nothing against teaching or learning. I have everything against the opening hole taking them, literally, 28 minutes. We played through them on the 2nd hole Nehrer getting caught behind another group on the 5th. It was really, really, slow.
Well kept.
One area to improve is the snack shack never has food until after 9A making us disappointing for early golfers who need food.
Over all nice only negative is the inconsistency of the Valley course fairways.
I like the layout & greens were excellent. Just wish that the fairways were better conditioned. For around the same price we can drive 680 and play better conditioned fairways in San Ramon & Pleasanton
Cold Day on The Course
It was a very cold day on the course and even with the 4” of rain two days before, the course was in Great Shape. A little soft in some spots but overall Fantastic. When the sun came out it made it even more enjoyable. Thanks to the greens keepers for a terrific job maintaining the course
Fabulous
The course was in Fantastic shape, especially with the amount of rain we got the last couple of days. The greens were Perfect 👌
