Ok close to home
Staff very friendly and helpful. Course is ok like a municipal track. 4 of us 3.5 hours. Greens pretty shaggy might be early season. The worst thing was the smell. Heavy sewer smell and lots of flys. Perhaps there’s a connection.
Value
For the money, it was an OK round.
Course conditions were average for a muni but the bartender was great and the cart staff was really good.
I recommend it but wouldn’t pay more than $100.

No resident value. Should have a program for the Avenue of the States residents.
A little TLC
Greens & Faiways are coming in nicely. If budget permits I would recommend edging the turf around the areas closest to t boxes, and general landscaping of sandy areas behind greens and other places where sand is the predominant surface.

Palm Desert is a rough muni!
Layout is pretty good but the grounds crew clearly has no interest in aesthetics.. A little planning and elbow grease could turn this into a hidden gem. No food service so no morning coffee. Easy fixes but the course must be in tough financial shape.

Over paid and slow.
This was the first time playing the course David in the pro shop was great but that’s where it ends, I paid $92.00us the greens were wet and uncut granted it’s over seeding time none the less the bunkers had grass growing in them and none were worked, the cart paths had grass growing everywhere I am thinking to lack of worker’s. The front nine was do able then as we got to ten we caught the 5 guys in front of us and waited every hole and every shot it was terrible, the 5 guys I know were regulars a I heard them prior to the game discussing going as a 5sum, I honestly don’t care if you go as 5 but either keep the pace up or let people pass the hole back 9 was backed up because of these guys.

Summertime Fun
This is one of my favorite courses in the Palm Springs/Palm Desert area. For this time of year the course is in pretty good shape. Tee boxes decent, fairways not bad for summer, greens in good shape. Sand traps ok. Layout is challenging yet fair. Definitely worth the money.

Community course quality But PGA level feed
Very basic community quality course but green fees are PGA level - very poor amenities - ridiculous
Course Condition
On the first hole 3 of the 4 players lost at least 1 ball in the ruff and one of them lost 4 balls These were lost within 10 feet of the fairway. I cannot see playing here again until the course has been maintained

Good value for the money
Some bare spots in the fairways, tee boxes can be torn up, greens pretty bumpy. Good layout, not long/difficult. $50 for a weekend round wasn’t bad.

Good track
A straightforward layout that gives shorter hitters a chance. Well-maintained for summer in the desert. Greens are a bit slow. I wish there was a practice range to warm up. Staff was very attentive.

We have rented a condo on this course for 2 months the last 4 years. There are courses 15 minutes away that are in much better condition and certainly a much better price on tee times. Ever since the homeowners bought this course the price has went up. Sun City and Terra Lago are in much better condition and are more reasonable in price. We won't be playing here again anytime in the near future.

Pace or play was phenomenal… more to do with the heat then anything. Greens were unfortunately on pretty tough shape due to being punched within the last couple months with little to no sand on top to help even them out. By far that was the most frustrating part. Not a smooth putt all day on a single green.
Due to the summer months there was no cart girl, bar or restaurant options. (Drinks in proshop only)
Course is fairly straight forward as far as design. No real challenge.
Overall a course to play if you just want to get out of the house for a bit to get away from chores but nothing to write home about.
