Palm Desert Country Club

Traditional Track in the Desert without hardly any desert landscape.

Played in 3 1/2 hours as a twosome.

For the first time I have played this course, I was surprised at how nice this course was for the value. Most places in the Desert charge twice as much. I will definitely play this course again.

Friendly service. Interesting layout through the neighbourhood. Beverage cart service was top notch ensuring we were well hydrated ;)

So if I was in somewhere else looking to play a cheap municipal course, this course would have been fine, but I was visiting Palm Springs and this was nothing like I was expecting, it was a step above a goat pasture.

The course was flat as a board, no personality or unique features, nothing like the resort courses throughout the city.

From the first tee, I was looking forward to finishing and mad that I just paid over $100 to play this course. I hated that this was my last round of my Palm Springs/LaQuinta visit.

Course was relatively very easy, i did not play well and still broke 80. Greens were in good shape, sand traps jad no sand(common theme throughout all the courses), tees were fine, fairways hard and not plush.

Bottom line this is not a Palm Springs type course, not one worth traveling to to play, though of looking for an easy, forgiving course this will do, but I would struggle to ever pay more than $40 let alone over $100 to play jere again.

The greens were in great condition and were rolling at about a 10. Very nice compared to other courses played in the Coachella Valley around this same time. The rest of the course is in average condition with a layout that weaves in and out of homes and streets.

Wanted to play without paying $150.

Course was ok but was expecting more, had a few scenic holes, fairways were thin in spots but greens were excellent which is important.

It was our first time playing here. The course was a little rough, not fabulous but not terrible either. The tee boxes were in good shape. The greens were fabulous. Fast but not linoleum fast. The putt would roll true and stay on line. The holes were perfectly cut. The greens were the best part of Palm Desert Countey Club. For the money it was a great value. We will.play here again.

Our group really enjoyed this course. The fairways and greens were in great condition. The only imperfection in a golf course is the bunkers are hard packed. The benefit he can easily get a rollout. The bad part is it’s not even worth taking a swing in those bunkers as it’s not worth the risk of damaging your clubs or twisting your wrist. Highly suggest everyone gets a free drop at the point of entry. . Besides that the place played like any other Premium Palm Desert course

We had a really good round here. The pace was a bit slow due to a group ahead of us, but in spite of that it was a good day

I thought the course was worth the money in an area that they can become very expensive. It’s no country club but the cost was worth it.

I thought the design was a little odd. It seems every par 4 has fairway bunkers on both sides leaving only a 20 yard wide landing area. Laying up short left 180+ yards in. No way to get over them for an average 250 yard driver of the ball. Pretty difficult design for a public course. The bunkers were hard. It made green side bunker shots harder than they should be.

We consider this our home course since we are only a few miles away. We are not members. This course plays easy and is very good value considering the extraordinary prices these day. The staff are very good and courteous. Course conditions are very consistent and good.
