White/Blue at Myakka Pines Golf Club

Started out cart path only, bummer, but at 3rd hole the course was made 90 degree rule, excellent since the previous 24. Hours had rained non stop. Course drained well. All 3 nines are very well kept and the greens are quick.. would play this again for sure.

Like playing in a wildlife preserve which it kind of is. Nice not to see houses and condos all around you. Saw about 10 gators walking around, laying around, including a couple of 12 footers helps seeing that when you’re having a crappy round! Great entertainment. A little overpriced for the conditions but it is peak season.

The courses were good as usual and the staff great as well. Have now played all three nines and found them to be perfect for mid to high (that's me) handicappers. Plenty of sand and water, but minimal OB obstacles. A couple large gators to respect, of course... it's Florida! Normally range balls are included, but it was closed for some reason. They should inform via email prior to the round, maybe even a $5-10 credit since it is included in the price. I did get an advance email that it would be cart paths only due to the previous days rain (turned out it was 90 degree when I teed off in the afternoon). An excellent alternative to the many local public executive courses running through populated neighborhoods.

Excellent greens, very quick, fairways are very good, no bare spots etc.water come into play, positioning is vital to scoring well.

I like to return to this place. It is a nice layout and in decent shape. The pace of play was great and the pro shop staff and outside staff were very nice.

Fairways were in less the good condition for the price. Club house had nothing but a hot dog for food.

I have played here several times in the past and this, by far, was my worst experience

Nice complete practice area. Pace of play was good, waited a few times but still a 4 hour round. Course layout was great but fairway condition was questionable.

Our day started with meeting Warren at the bag drop. He welcomed us and asked us our tee time. He then instructed us to go to the Pro Shop to check in. When we walked in we were greeted by Penny. She smiled and said welcome to Myakka Pines . It turns out she is the PGA Pro at the course. She checked us in and informed us the driving range is open. During our round we enjoyed some of Florida wild life. later in our enjoyable round we ran into a professional looking young man who was doing some repairs to a memorial on one of the tees. He was very pleasant and asked us if we were enjoying our day. We replied the course is in great shape and the greens were amazing. He thanked us for our compliments and he was glad we were enjoying our day. When we completed our round one of the workers informed us he is the Super Attendant of Myakka Pines. This is a first-class club that you owe yourself to play. Don't pass on this gem!
