White/Blue at Myakka Pines Golf Club

Golf course and staff were good, but we paid $20 more per person through golfnow than we would have paid in person at course. Did not think that was fair.

Had friends down from Indiana for a few rounds of golf . Played a total of five different courses and the had to come back for one more round at Myakka Pines . Staff was awesome . Great time .

If you like your golf on a course without houses flanking each fairway then you will enjoy Myakka Pines. We played blue & red. There were plenty of gators, turtles and wild birds to be seen. This isn’t a perfectly manicured course, but it was reasonably well maintained and the layout was interesting. At only $40 for the afternoon green fee, it represents good value. Pace of play was good.

A shout out to the pro, who was very helpful in lending us a golf bag for the round, as the club would not let us play with two sets of clubs out of one bag (a saving on extra trans-Atlantic baggage costs!)

A ranger could have helped move along a clueless foursome who thought they were the only foursome on the course.

I haven’t played this course in a while and it’s never changed. The staff from the bag drop off to tee time was friendly, helpful and very professional.I would definitely put this course on my list to play and definitely recommend to others

Everything in clubhouse is under construction for remodeling. No bathroom just porta potty. That is crazy! At least fix one bathroom first! Course is in need of water. Greens and tee boxes are not great. Not a great experience

Course is in fair shape given the fact the area is about 10-12 inches below annual rainfall. Greens were punched maybe a month ago and were much slower than practice green. Club house and cafeteria under going construction so only rest rooms were on blue course the red course restrooms were closed. Still was great day and enjoyed the course again.

Awesome golf course, friends from up north loved the course. Scenery and wildlife was a bonus.

Over priced to bad they don't give year round locals à better rate,we support you all summer when the weather is really hot !

The golf course is in excellent shape and really love the location, very few courses aren't lined with houses! We had a 1:00 tee time and it's not unusual for it to not be busy in the afternoon this time of year. We played it pretty fast, just a little over 3 hours. Did see a couple big gators but didn't see Chubbs this time.

The clubhouse is being remodeled and undergoing an extensive reconstruction. We usually stay afterword for a bite to eat and a couple beers but we headed out this time. We're def lookong forward to seeing the clubhouse once it's done.

Not a bad course overall. One word of warning. My wife has several disabilities that limit her ability to play the game but she loves to walk the course with me. This courses “rider fee” was the full price. So I had to pay for 2 rounds for my wife to join me for the afternoon. That’s out of line. Had it not been for this policy I probably would’ve bought a membership.

Too bad as there is a lot to like about the course.

The greens are so slow. I really dislike the greens as the don’t roll true and they are so slow. The course is nice but the rough can be very penalizing as your ball sucks in deep and it’s tough to see sometimes let alone hit out of it. There are a few traps under repair but sand is in good shape. If the greens were better, this is 5 stars.
