A scam to try for a second "tip" after tipping ar the bag drop. 50 years of golf....never seen this before

P.s. "members" are allowed to drive into lot. Much safer drivers, i presume. Smells like a scam.

Played 1/28/2026. Pulled up to bag drop. Staffer says “what’s your tee time, last name?” Told him my teetime and last name and he said.” whoa, you guys are way too early. We don’t have any carts for you.”

I said. “ no worries, we’ll just chip and putt and hit a few balls.”

His response “you guys are not going to bang balls for an hour.”

If he worked at the course where I work in Michigan, he’d be a one shift wonder.

Tone of voice, facial expression, not a thing friendly about the guy.

There’s a small bathroom on the course. Water/ice machine fill of sand. The water/ice machines at clubhouse work, but no cups. No towels in bathroom.

For $103 cash for 18 holes, I’d rate as a 1 star.

Besides it being 38 degrees when I tee’d off, course was great. Played here a number of times and the staff is always very friendly and accommodating.

My go to course fr price (Jan - Mar) and pace of play. Usually 4 hr round.

Need to play referred lies in few fairways. Greens are quick.

Course has gone through some major improvements since playing it a year ago. Look forward to playing it again!

Plenty of time to admire every blade of grass on the course. Sprinkle in some forced small talk with the multiple groups ahead of you and you'll leave with new friendships bonded in social suffering.

Tee boxes in good shape. Losing a couple of greens on blue coarse.

I have played this course before while visiting family. I have enjoyed it every time. I especially like the setting, with the wild peaceful feel and the animals. That seems to be changing now, with the area around the course being under development. I was sad to see that. My wife was with me today. She was on the putting green before our round when she was approached by a gentleman who very politely told her that her shirt was unacceptable because it did not have a collar. It was a top she had worn at many golf courses for the past 2 years since she started playing the game. It was sleeveless, but had the same design and shape as the ladies tops sold in the pro shop. In my opinion, it was not inappropriate in any way. It was not a “tank top”. There was, however, a notice on the front door about the dress code which stated that women’s tops must have a collar. My wife was compelled to buy a new top so that our day would not be ruined. The man who approached my wife was polite and respectful, but it was obvious that he was told to do this by someone higher up. I feel very offended that my wife was treated this way. We have played at golf courses in 9 different states and my wife’s golf attire has never been an issue. If we had known about this rule before we arrived, we would have been prepared. We did enjoy our day in spite of the unnecessary embarrassment and additional expense. The person who made that man tell my wife she could not play golf in the clothing she came in should be ashamed of themself. My wife is a beautiful, classy woman who does not wear immodest or inappropriate clothing.

Good value compared to Rotunda courses. Much better condition.

This course is in very good shape. They invested a lot and the best I've seen it.

Had a really nice time today! I got to the course early and they offered free balls on the driving range. I got paired up with a couple of guys from New York. They were a good fit for me and we had a good time. The course was in fantastic shape. The greens were fast. I will definitely be back.

Been coming to this course for years when we travel south. Far and away it's in the best condition of any point in the last twenty years.

Carts are clean, Bag Guys are very friendly.

The course is challenging depending on your tee choice, Water comes into play a lot!

Lots of wildlife especially Large Alligators.

The course is in great shape, greens are very fast, maybe due to the drought conditions in Florida
