Staff was very good. Greens were bad. Bumpy. Thin sand traps. Grass in fairways very bare.

Myakka Pines.
Arrived at the course. As usual staff very friendly. The course is in good shape and always fun to play and challenging. Service at the halfway house was very slow as they did not staff enough people to consider their club championship. Overall had a good day. Yes I would go back.

GPS Carts malfunctioned
Carts stopped on the cart path saying "restricted area" and we had to backup with no good reason. We were on the cart path-major problem with the round. You need to be able to shut the GPS on the carts off. We all have our own GPS's or range finders. This is a PROBLEM!

Myakka
I took my grandson and we played blue-red and enjoyed the course. There was significant recent rain so the course was wet, very wet in some places but didn’t affect our play much. We had a good time and will play it again.

Greens were in very good shape (rated between 4-5); however, hitting a tee shot to the middle of the fairway only to find out your lie is somewhere between bare dirt and marginal grass is disappointing (fairways rated 1-2).

Limited Handicap Access and Kitchen not open
Requested unrestricted access with the cart due to handicap condition. This was not done as the cart turned off in "restricted" areas. Also, was told the kitchen was open but when we arrived, the cooking staff was gone because the course did not want to pay overtime. Staff yelled at us when we were trying to drive to truck parked in handicap parking spot immediately next to bag drop off.

Course Layout
I'm sorry that unrestricted access does not exist. There are separate zones that allow accommodations for players with with need to get closer. This does not permit players to park on the greens.
For your safety we restrict cart usage in the parking lot. We've had to many accidents between vehicles and carts. Our outside staff is more than happy to any assistance you might need with getting your clubs to and from your truck.
