Red/White at Myakka Pines Golf Club

Loved the changes happening with the cart paths. The greens are really rolling nicely. The fairway bunkers should be filled in with grass and made grass bunkers.

Celebrated my birthday by playing 45 holes at Myakka. There are some interesting holes, but pretty standard Florida layout. Greens rolled true, but a bit slow, especially compared to Wellen Park (few miles away). Fairways, tee boxes and traps all decent. Very friendly staff.

Too many rules…such as you can’t take golf cart

into parking lot to load or drop off your clubs. We are over 80 with hip pain so this was unnecessary

extra walking! Also when we returned cart to bag drop, attendant was a bit snotty about returning

to wrong location. Correct procedure should be

more clearly indicated.

It was ok for $75 but I’m sure the prices will be going up come January

Was a real fun time, course was in good condition and the staff was helpful and friendly

Courses in terrific conditiion and a pleasure to play. We had the first tee time so pace was excellent.

It’s over 4 years since we last played this course. The course itself was every bit as good but we thought the general appearance had deteriorated since our last visit. Cart paths are in need of major upgrade as they are quite bumpy in places and you have to be careful leaving the path onto the course due to rough terrain. We also noted what looked like uprooted tree stumps in various places around the course. I presume this has been caused by storm damage but why are the not being cleared away and a programme to replant these trees.

The staff we were in contact with were extremely friendly and helpful. We played as a two ball and started out on the red course where we were we were invited to play through a four ball rather than be held up. We then played the white course where we were held up by a couple more or less all the way round. There was no one in front of them so should have invited us through as they should have been aware we were kept waiting at every shot.

Very nice all around day of golf. Conditions were excellent, especially the green. I will go back for sure

Noticeable work done since hurricane Ian.! Greens and Fairways in pretty good shape.like the mats at The Practice Facility. Staff very friendly.
