Red/White at Myakka Pines Golf Club

Very nice course with greens, fairways and tee boxes in good shape. Pace of play was fine. The entrance was marked by a small sign. Almost missed it.

Course is in good shape for this time of year! Have seen it better, but is very playable right now…

Greens were money fairways were good no complaints and it’s cheaper course around

Will definitely be back. Great greens, well maintained, best hot dog in town, seriously. Not a complaint

First time back since Ian. The place looks and plays great. We'll be back B4 the prices go back up

Went directly to the bag drop and the attendant was right on it. Took my clubs out of my truck and put them in a cart. The practice range was fully stocked with balls which is include. The putting green was just like the courses greens. A little on the fast side but consistent from green to green. Plenty of ice and water to stay hydrated. The course itself looked like it got beat up pretty good from Ian, but what course didn’t. I must admit, it was a tough track but you have to hit fairways and greens in order to score at Myakka Pines. We had a great time going out a little later, not slow at all and we never felt pushed.

Myakka Pines is a great place to play currently with no homes surrounding holes. Greens are true and tricky. I enjoy the open layout of the course from the tee box.

We had no less than FOUR Twosomes roar through us without a word over 18 holes. Some when we were on the green putting , 1 as we started to hit approach shots, 1 jumped right in front of us at a tee box!

We called the Pro shop on the worst of them. We were on the 4th hole. I gave them descriptions AND the cart #. At the turn I went in the Pro shop & asked if they caught up with them. We never saw a Ranger/Marshal. I was told “no idea & we don’t have that cart # logged as out.”

This place is chaos with no concern about golf etiquette. They worry more about playing time & where your cart is on the course. Our playing partners were ON the cart path & several times on the path their cart failed to move forward, only backwards. Lol. At the turn they were denied a diff cart & told several are doing that . ????

It’s cheap sometimes but the idiotic stuff detracts from that & the decent conditions.

Course is in pretty good condition however I seen some weeds growing on some of the greens. Hopefully this will be taken care of soon. I still recommend playing

This course, in years past, allowed golfers to drive the golf cart to their vehicles. This convenience is no longer allowed. I was told, per usual, that it was for insurance reasons. I can't suggest that this is incorrect information, but it seems to me, as with other courses that have the same rule, it's about having the workers make tips by assisting the golfers. There are plenty of courses that allow carts being driven to their vehicles. I don't like to carry my bag because I broke my back and neck. I shouldn't have to be tipping every time I turn around because I have injuries. I, also, don't appreciate workers immediately being all over my bag trying to assist or clean clubs in search of a tip.

Ready-made sandwiches would be nice too.

All the staff were rude and demeaning especially the lady in the pro shop.
