Don't feed the squirrels
The squirrels were pretty aggressive beginning for food they were obviously well fed.
Very good deal for the money
A good deal, very nice staff. Course had a few tee boxes where they were putting in new turf but other than that very good shape.
Pine lined Fairways and Greens
Layout and design is very good. Some challenging holes.
Course conditions on greens, fairways and bunkers was good.
Some tee blocks require maintenance.
Excellent practice area, range, green and bunker.
Staff was friendly and attentive.
Nice clubhouse and grill room.
Very slow 5+hr
The course was very busy on the Wednesday 1:30 tee time, and took tll 6:45pm to finish. Ihad a 2:30 p on the Friday, very busy no carts til 3 pm, did 12 holes by 6:45 pm very busy and slow. Play
This course is lower level course. The tee boxes were rough. The pace of play was very slow.
FIND SOME OTHER PLACE TO PLAY
IF YOU LIKE NO GRASS ONLY MUD ON THE TEES, FAIRWAYS WITH ONLY TUFFS OF GRASS, GREENS AS SLOW AS CARPET WITH LOTS OF LITTLE TUFFS THEN THIS IS YOUR COURSE. THE LAYOUT IS GREAT, HOLES HAVE LOTS OF VARIETY AND VARY IN DISTANCES AND DIFFICULTY BUT THE CONDITION IS THE WORST WE HAVE PLAYED THIS YEAR IN MYRTLE BEACH. THEY ARE CUTTING DOWN LOTS OF TREES SO MAYBE IT IS GETTING READY TO CLOSE AS IT WILL IF IT DOES NOT CHANGE CONDITON.
Great first time Myrtle Beach experience.
This was my first time in Myrtle Beach for golf and my experience here was amazing. From the time we pulled up to the club drop until the time we left, every staff member treated us like royalty. The course was in great shape and the greens were some of the best I ever played. It had rained significantly earlier in the week and there were a couple small areas still wet but overall the course was in great shape. I would highly recommend checking it out.
Needs some TLC
We were met by cart man at bag drop who got our equipment ready to go quickly. The pro shop staff were very cordial and helpful. Course layout is pretty good with nice variety of holes. Fairway grass was in good shape. Greens were well covered with healthy grass but VERY slow (approximately 7 stimp). The bermuda rough needs to be cut shorter to make it at least a little easier to find balls and shorten the pace of play. Bunkers had almost no sand -- in places less than 1/8 inch. (I was in them only twice but always make it a point to check out a few bunkers.) Tees were ample size and flat but had too many weeds. The cart paths may the worst that I've seen in decades. The blacktop paths, which are easy to repair, looks like they haven't been tended to since initially laid. The front 9 had only a portable john for a restroom. I didn't see any drinking water available on the course. Give this course a little tender loving care and it would be worth playing again.
