About
Located in Little River, S.C., Eagle Nest opened in 1971 and was designed by Golf Course Architect Gene Hamm. The layout is laid out across 250 acres of gently rolling land, rare for a course near Myrtle Beach. The course has been upgraded recently and includes a set of "Perch" tee boxes that play over 8,100 yards, making it the state's longest golf course.
Super senior and player-friendly tee boxes up front have also been installed. This traditional low country layout features not only rolling undulations in it but mature Carolina pines, an abundance of wildlife and beautiful natural landscaping.

I do not recommend this course because
1-The course is not in good shape
2-It’s took 5 hours to play our 18 holes.
I think they over booking
Great time!
Fairly easy course at the beginning, but the last few holes are pretty challenging. We were paired with another twosome, but they quit after 9 holes, stating that their backs hurt, but we think they didn't like being beaten by 2 women!! lol We'll be back next year!!
Course needs some care and attention
Course was quite dry fairways were very thin and greens quite bumpy. Nice layout though. 17 and 18 were nice finishing holes.
Terrible, dont loose your money.
New cars ,but not grass on the course.

Very bad course, dry all the way.invest money on the grass, d'ont loose your money..terrible.
Course needs work
Course was in terrible shape and slow play a real problem. Traps not raked. Greens had bare spots. Sod that had been laid down a year or two ago was still laying on top of traps in the shape of a square. This could be a decent course but it has become a mess. Some of the grouois so hard no grass will grow on it. Very disappointed.
Not worth it
Unfortunately the course was not in good shape. Tee to green it needed some work. Won' be returning
Don’t do it
Course conditions were terrible. Fairways had no consistent grass on them. Ground was as hard as cement with ruts throughout. Couldn’t get club through with any consistency.. Greens were better with a true roll but were painted green to cover balled spots. One of the par 5’s was a temp par 4 but wasn’t told about it. No signs on this hole or mention about it when starting. Overall not worth the money for a course like this. Very poor will not come back.

Thank you for leaving a review. We don't overseed the golf course except the tees in the winter,. We try to limit any Poa Annua from getting on the course and protecting the greens. Bermuda is usually dormant from December From. Mid April thru late November the Bermuda is healthy and the best conditions of the year... We were extremely busy the day you played, We get many players that haver not played before which doesn't help the pace of play later in the day. Best time for pace is the first couple of hours to start the day.
