About

Located in Little River, S.C., Eagle Nest opened in 1971 and was designed by Golf Course Architect Gene Hamm. The layout is laid out across 250 acres of gently rolling land, rare for a course near Myrtle Beach. The course has been upgraded recently and includes a set of "Perch" tee boxes that play over 8,100 yards, making it the state's longest golf course.

Super senior and player-friendly tee boxes up front have also been installed. This traditional low country layout features not only rolling undulations in it but mature Carolina pines, an abundance of wildlife and beautiful natural landscaping.

A pleasant surprise! First time playing the course and really enjoyed the layout. Fairly wide open to allow for a little bit wayward shots and the enough variety it wasn’t up and down, back and forth. Bunkers were a little rough on the back nine, overall a course I will repeat.

Play the correct tees or the last three holes will eat you up

Thought course conditions was way better then expected for price. Greens in great shape and quick ball rolled nice. Treeline made for straight shots and some shot shaping on some dog legs. I enjoyed the course for sure

I have played here a few times when in the Myrtle Beach area, definitely worth playing and you can beat the price, staff was friendly pace a play was perfect greens were in great shape for this time of year along with the fairways.

I love this course I’m new to the game but the lay out. The wild life you’ll see deer, turkeys, hawks.

It such an underrated course from ever. Other course I’ve been to. It’s a hidden gem

Bang for the Buck

Played 4 courses this week. Fairways here were the best of the 4 by far. Can't rate the greens had punched recently.but rolled ok considering. $38 for 18 and a cart best value fun layout. Fun holes. New.tee boxes beiing put in. So patient with that. I like it that they are gonna make it better. Will be back. Will add to my play list. Man what a fun course. Just a good place while on vacation and not have to worry about losing balls or getting beat up by a course design that murders a miss hit.
