Golfer Reviews
Great course.
Three years in a row playing this course, good layout with some short and long hole play for all types. Friendly staff.
Ranger Deplorable
The first person we see when getting there is a Gentleman telling us we must drop our bags off at the front, I told him we would get after we checked in. He didn’t like that. We went and got our bags and he immediately took them of our shoulder and all most knocked me down. My Grandson, he is 10, sat down in the cart, passenger side, and he started telling him he would kick us off the course if he seen him driving or setting behind the wheel of the Golf Cart. I told him I fully understand, but he told me to make sure he doesn’t even set behind it. Ok We are on #3 tee box teeing off and my Grandson hits a bad ball and I told him to slow down and hit another, there is know one but 2 group in front of us know one else in site, he hits and takes a divet throws his club straight down to the ground picks up his club and fixes the divet goes to the cart and sat down, mad about the shot he just hit. I am fixing to hit and here come the ranger aka bag boy hollering at my grandson tell him if he sees him beating the tee box with his club again he will throw us both off and there’s no reason to ever do that, evidently he has never played golf, I started to tell him he did not beat the ground with his club he threw it and he drives off before I can say anything. As I walk back to the cart I can see my Grandson crying. He said can we just go home and we did. I have played golf for a lot of years and I couldn’t begin to count the number of different courses and I have never seen anyone treated this way let alone a kid.
Rude staff
I tried to use my American Express to pay and was rudely told that I wouldn’t be able to use my American Express. When I asked if they had an ATM close by I was again rudely told no so I said that I was going to cancel my reservation for the day and the person in the pro shop told me simply OK. I hope the gentleman that tried to help me isn’t the representation of this course but I cannot recommend.
Prototype Carolina Course
The fairways are framed by tall pine trees. Lots of water hazards throughout the course. If you hit it straight it’s possible to post a good score. Good value for the $$$.
Great Greens!
Great course. Lots of water. Sand traps kind of rough but a great round overall. The hospitality in the pro shop and the bar area was very friendly. I will definitely return. The greens were slow at first but as the course dried out they got super fast. Beautiful scenery and wildlife. Didn’t lose but one ball which was success for me. Lol!
Rude pro shop
Gentleman in the pro shop was rude and unhelpful. When I went to pay he quickly told me they didn’t accept AmEx. When asked if there is an atm around he said no. I asked if I could adjust my tee time to run and get some cash and he promptly said no. When I said I wouldn’t be playing then he shrugged my off and said fine then.
Very accommodating place
I wanted to take my kids and their cousins golfing yesterday. Four kids in all. The cousins’ mom was going too to help me “herd the cats”. I was nervous about calling the golf course because so many pro shop workers are not the friendliest. That was not the case here. The gentleman at Crown Park was super friendly and understanding and let us take two carts out with all the kids, on very short notice I might add. We just played nine holes. Even though they had just got dumped on by a big storm, they still let us drive on the fairways. We were the last group out, and the starter was politely waiting for us when we finally returned, after over three hours, so I tipped him big. What an awesome place! Love the course, too. Will be back here for sure.
Crown Park
Course has come a long way in the last 2 years. Staff is excellent and Pro shop and Club House is also excellent. Value for the money is Outstanding!
Pleasant
Enjoyed the round. Doglegs left and right, we’ll thought out layout with plenty of hazards, mounds, creeks, etc. to keep you honest and hold your interest. Great value for the price.
Great Condition
The course was in excellent condition. Great summer rate and not crowded.
