Fast greens and pace of play.
Great reception by the Starter. Was paired up with a member and went out as a two ball. Never waited for the four ball ahead of us and never saw the four ball behind us. The greens were very fast and ran true. The fairways had been worked on in the recent past but only for the betterment of the course. There were tee boxes for all caliber players with slopes ranging from 120-153. It would appear that the new management of the course is making all the right moves to make this facility one of the fine golfing jewels in the Las Vegas area. I will definitely play this course again.
OUTSTANDING AND A LOT OF FUN
THIS COURSE HAS 3 NINE HOLES TO PLAY, DESERT, MOUNTAIN AND VALLEY, ALL THREE ARE EXCELLENT DESERT COURSES.
course played nicely greens need a little work
course played quickly front 9 in 1 1/2 hrs excellent shape but greens need some work
Love the layout and the choices of playing 3 different nine holes, changes things up.
Loved everything about the day except the water situation. No water on the course and no water offered by the staff???
Course in good condition recent overseed and fun but not really very difficult
Played Desert and Valley 9's. Desert was better but overall the course was in good shape and played fairly. Course is not difficult as long as you keep you tee shots out of the red rock that lines the outside boundries of the course. Greens had recently been sanded and were a little bumpy. Good value for LV since courses there seem to start at $100.
Nice course
Had a very relaxing round of golf at Silverstone. With the mountain views in the background, it is a very picturesque setting. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The overall course condition was good. We will play there again when in Vegas.
Did not get to play
Despite a tournament playing there upon arrival, staff said we could not play due to course conditions. It's true there was a heavy rain storm that obviously impacted the course. However, nobody bothers to call or let you know that the course would be closed. Silverstone is at the very far north of Las Vegas and I drove all the way from the south to get there. Staff was "sorry" but not that apologetic. No effort to schedule another tee time at the same rate or other discount. Ended up playing at Angel Park for a great price. Walked right on and rescued an otherwise unpleasant experience. Silverstone is far for me so I took the chance to check out the course....just saw the same great price at the same time but this experience just told me to not bother again. I have to get my refund from GOLFNOW.
This course had a great practice facility
This course had a pleasant array of uphill and downhill holes that present a challenge for everyone. Had a great time playing this course. It was one of the more enjoyable courses I have played in Las Vegas.
Rough condition
Nice clubhouse made us think we were going to get a smoking deal but when we started off on the Valley course realized it was in terrible shape, and the Mountain 9 was only slightly better. Desert or whatever other coarse called was closed due to overseeding which hopefully will fix Valley when it's time to overseed that. Greens also really bumpy however for 23 dollars on Golf Now not going to get to upset about the shape of the coarse as anytime can get a reasonably priced round in Vegas and be under 100 degrees (not by much Sept 29th) your doing ok
Lousy condition
Would not play there again for the money. They don't even tell you the condition of the course.
What a day
Loved the course.Even though it poured rain from hole 3 to hole 16 this was a fantastic day. All the staff were terrific and truly seemed to love their jobs. The course was in great shape and was very enjoyable.
since when does any golf course call and tell a player the course is closed. in my 25 yrs of playing no course has ever called to say play was suspended. It is up to the indivdual to call couse and check.
