Good Variety
I like the Duke for its diversity of unique holes affording a variety of shots and approaches. Theg green complexes also offer a variety of good pin placements. Fairly average surfaces that were a bit on the slow side.
Great time despite no on course cart service
Played as a single for first 3 holes then joined with a single for the remainder. We were caught by another single for the last 3 holes (foursome ahead was, naturally, easily caught but was playing at a reasonable pace). Course conditions were good and the company very enjoyable. Lack of a beverage cart made us thirsty but the course provided water coolers throughout.

Nice course. Wide fairways. Interesting layout. Greens were good.

Course in decent shape for AZ summer. Green speeds were a little inconsistent but not a big deal. Fairways were patchy but again summer in AZ but better than other courses played in recent weeks.
Great condition
Greens were very good, a little work being done on tee boxes but not bad.
Duke in June
Overall the course is in decent shape for June in AZ. Greens had recently been aerated so were a little bumpy and slow, should be good in another week or two. Fairways were spotty but not nearly as bad as other courses played in the past few weeks.
Highly Recommend
Highly recommend. Great course for the money, staff is friendly, plenty of par 4s and 5s. 10/10, can't beat it for the money!
heat stroke
Yesterday as I finished the 17th hole I realized that the heat (108) had very slowly worn me down to the place where I would not be able to finish the whole round. Knowing i was in trouble I skipped 18 and proceeded to the clubhouse. upon arrival I was so weak I couldn't ever put my head covers on and get to my car to leave. All of the staff was very kind and attentive upon realizing I was heat compromised offering water and AC. Unfortunately this didn't keep me from vomiting uncontrollably inside the cashers office and outside by the waiting bench. I cannot express my thanks to the staff and numerous players for their kindness and concern and can only say how sorry i am for the inconvenience that my illness caused. THANKS TO ALL
Great course for the money
This course is in much better shape than it was a year ago and I would recommend anyone looking to play a round and not spend a lot of money, The Duke is a great option the pace was good the staff is friendly and the course is not as easy as it looks .
