Bear Creek Golf Complex - Cub Course
About
The Bear Creek Golf Complex offers two golf courses, one championship length course and one executive length course, the Cub Course. This sporty course is ideal for beginners and families. Like its sister course, the Bear Course, there are rolling fairways and well-manicured greens that have unique swales and collection areas. The design features five par 4s and the rest are par 3s, all of which vary in length. A round of golf on the Cub Course can be completed in less than three hours. The Bear Creek Golf Complex also boasts several practice facilities including a lighted driving range, two putting greens, and a short game area with a bunker.

Great short course
Fun course good conditions little soggy here in there and the tee boxes get pretty beat up, but overall no complaints.
Unadvertised tournament significantly impacted pace of play.
My wife and I booked a 1:40pm tee time for a premium considering what their normal course price is. My wife is pregnant and could only handle 3 hours in the warmer weather so we booked the cub course which we usually pace at 2.5 hours. We’ve played this course at least 20/30 times and have never had it take anywhere near as long as it did today.
There was a children’s tournament happening in front of us which is all fine (we’re parents too) and the parents of these kids playing were rude and heckling us. They held up the pace of play so badly my wife was about to pass out at hour 4 when we finally reached hole 13. She hit the ball a little left and it rolled down the hill towards the last group of the tournament she yelled fore and the next thing we know the parents are shooting us dirty looks and send someone from the course to scold us for not yelling fore even though we did. So now we have course employees scolding my hot tired pregnant wife who has been sitting in the heat for hours waiting for this tournament.
To wrap up the experience when we reached the clubhouse after calling it quits on an unfinished round because we were racking up babysitter time. The two kids working at the cart return were doing an algebra lesson and completely ignored us.
However the ladies working at the bar and the cart girl were all excellent and provided great customer service.
Decent exec. Course, but lacking any excitement
The course was in OK shape considering the time of the year, however, the course has no cart path, except for patches of dirt that have huge potholes filled with water. And the ranger will get mad if you are driving on the fairway. If you’re going to play this complex, play the bear course, and find a better executive course somewhere else.
Great pace of play
This course got us in and out in about 2 hours and 35 minutes for the 18 cub course holes. The course was absolutely packed with players but everyone was moving consistently. Pace of play is very important to us as we have been stuck for over 4 hours down the street at Springfield (which is basically the same course). Then you factor in the cost and it all worked out great for us all.
Cub course - fun executive course
The Cub course at Bear Creek is a fun executive course, with excellent conditions (tee boxes, fairways and greens) !
Great course for the money!
Course was very well kept, grass was very green and the fairways in great shape. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly! It's our go to course!
Welcoming Staff
Everyone we met was great. The starter was also from WA State. We talked about the Seattle Seahawks. Course has lots of different distances to test your iron game. Overall, fun day of warm golf.
great practice course
always in great condition. good course to practice various iron shots. Will use most of your clubs
Great course for beginners
Golfed with my wife who rarely golfs. Perfect course to help confidence and for beginners.
Nice course
The cub course is a nice round for beginning golfers or seniors with minor mobility issues. Also good for those wanting to practice irons, chipping and putting. The executive course is also very nice to play for experienced golfers. Staff is very friendly. Rate of play was excellent.
Didn’t get to play
Waited for a half hour to get a cart so I could start, ended up getting a cart 10 minutes after I was supposed to tee off. I then drive to the first tee and am told by the starter that I must be escorted by a ranger to the third hole. What? I’m not paying for only 15/18 holes for something that is not my fault. They at least did refund me.
Fun shorter course
Greens were in nice condition and pace of play was steady.
