About

After a round on the Duke at Rancho El Dorado, head to Silver Spur Grill for breakfast, lunch or dinner on the patio, which offers vistas of the Estrella Mountains as well as that 18th hole you just wrapped up on.

Pace of Play - Hole 16, 17 & 18
When we got to #16 tee area, there was two groups waiting and a group just chipping onto the green. (This has happened at the same place on previous rounds.) They should realize if there is a big time gap between groups finishing on 18 that maybe a course marshal would be a good idea to remind the slow players!!
Always slow
We play here 1-2 times a year, during winter months. We love the course. My main complaints are Price and Pace. I think the course is fair at around $75, but I realize that all courses have continued to raise prices. I will continue to play if I can find it at a reasonable rate, but over $100 is too much for this course. It seems like every time we play here, the round takes 4:40 - 5:00. I wish there was a way to manage the course for a 4:30 or less round.
Course in great shape
Course was great. Greens were good. Pace of play was the worst I’ve experienced this season. For some in front our foursome played like a beginner ladies group. 51/2 hours on a 106 degree day. Pitiful.
The Duke Wins!
Played here with my 2 capable teenagers. Lovely Arizona golf. Would play again.
Love the Duke
This course is in the best condition I have seen in many years. They finally started putting money back into it and watering more. Greens are amazing. Go play. You won’t be disappointed
Best course in AZ!
I love the course. Although we suffered from slow play on the back nine, where 1 very poor golfer in a 3-some slowly drove his cart in prohibited areas and then slowly walked to his bad shots, IF he found them. The course also has the best fish fry in AZ.
Absolute dog track
The only redeeming quality for this course was that it wasn’t busy and I got to play in 3 hours. The condition is terrible for peak season. I’d only play this course if it was free.
course in great shape
It’s in the best shape it has been in years Food and drinks good and the staff was wonderful
Worth the drive
Really enjoyed this course. Great layout and features
Nice and friendly people
I would recommend this course to anyone. Very nice people and course. They have a drink cart out and you can get a drink or snacks.
Great Course
Beautiful setting at a reasonable price. Friendly staff too
Great Course
Absolutely loved playing The Duke. The staff were incredibly friendly, from the staff in the pro shop, the starter, bev cart girl, and the bag drop guys that clean your clubs at the end of your round.
The conditions were great. The google earth satellite view makes it look a little rough, but the tee boxes, fairways and greens were all plush and green. The rough was a little dry and a little patchy in some spots, but that's just desert golf.
Pace of play was good. It was about 4 1/2 hours. We had to wait a few minutes for the group ahead of us a few times, but it wasn't excessive by any stretch of the imagination, and we also didn't feel pushed by the group behind us either.
The course meanders through a neighborhood, but I didn't feel there was any spots where you needed to worry about slicing into someone's yard/house.
The pro shop had a really good selection of merchandise at fair prices. I used one of their rental club sets - didn't want to haul mine on a plane for a single round of golf (Callaway Elyte) which came with a half dozen balls. The clubs were in really good shape, and one of them I might have been the first person to hit.
I would absolutely come back in the future.

Hello. Thank you for reviewing the course. We apologize for the delay of play during your round. This is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We work hard to accommodate everyone who visits our course and to best control pace allowing everyone to finish in a reasonable amount of time. We will continue to look for ways to improve. Thank you for playing The Duke at Rancho El Dorado. We hope to see you again soon.
