About
The Silverthorn Country Club golf course has earned its challenging 132 slope rating through a combination of rolling terrain, unpredictable Florida Gulf Coast winds, and no less than 96 strategically-placed bunkers. Joe Lee designed this course and it offers a mixture of wide-open links-style holes and tight, tree-lined fairways. The 25,000 square foot clubhouse offers a scenic vista of Silverthorn's championship golf course, surrounding lakes and splendid Florida sunsets. This classic blend of southern charm and golfing tradition will create wonderful memories for your golf trip to Brooksville

Looks like no money other then mowing and watering greens takes place
Was over 4 hrs. Waited on every shot. Need to know there's someone to contact if this is the case and it is known there is no one. Little to no grass on course. Overall quite disappointing

Needs work
Greens good, fairways need work but the tee boxes are just terrible. Obviously they are not spending money on the course like they use to.

One Of The Best Courses In Our Area !!!!!!!!
My buddy and I played yesterday and got hooked up with 2 women in front of us due to numerous 4 somes in front of us. At 1 point 1 of the ladies stated that she thought the course was in bad shape compared to some of the country clubs she normally plays. Obviously she did not belong on this course. For $25 this time of year you won't find a better course. That was the fee I paid on Teeoff. com. This course has always been one of my favorites and is always in very good condition. The greens were in excellent shape and were very fast. Tee boxes were a little shabby but not terrible. Fairways were also in very good condition. Staff is always very friendly and got me out right away. What more could you ask for this time of year in Florida? I wish those ladies had stayed at their snooty country clubs and were not in our way. Thanks Silverthorn!!! I only give excellent overall ratings to World Woods in my area. Of course it is about $100 to play it this time of year.

You need someone out selling drinks and snacks. We spent 4 hours there and never saw a single beverage cart.

Getting better
After much needed rain course conditions have improved! Greens and fairways are getting better by the week but still needs little work, sand traps are a different story THEY NEED SAND! Overall a great day on the course.

Needs a little work
Showed up early & teed off early. Paired up with 2 great guys, who had some kind of membership. I really like the course. It's just not well kept. Greens are fine, but slow. Bunkers have sand, but it's time to refill. Fairways for the most part were green, & playable. Some holes had some bad spots (bare or weedy). Rough was the same. Everything was playable. Good value for $30 if you're not looking for pristine condition. Course layout is great. I'll bet that back in the day (mostly membership) this was a magnificent place to play. I will continue to come back, for the right price
