Sherman Hills Golf Club

Played this course today for the first time and was pleasantly surprised at how well this course was kept. It winds all through a housing development, but the houses are far enough off of the Fairways where they do not present a problem. A couple of bad greens on the back, but overall the course is in good shape and is fun to play. A lot of hills on this course, and the scenery is nice. The carts were also nice! The Restaurant is a different story. $4.50 for a draft beer and $3.00 for a canned 12 oz. Coke, come on folks, your prices are way out of line compared to your competition. Needless to say, no one was in the restaurant. I won't go back into the restaurant, but hey, we didn't go there for the restautant. I will play this course several times while down here, and it is a Great Bang for the Buck

Have played thos course multiple times and like the layout. Most greens are in good shape but 13, 14 and 17 are almost unplayable. There are patches on other greens but not nearly as bad as the 3 holes mentioned. Fairways have grass not weeds so you do have a little cushion uner your shots. Front nine and back nine are totally different. Front nine wide open back nine heavily tree lined.

This is a good option when other courses are trying to get 100 or more to play in the winter... there are only 2 holes in the back that need green repair (badly)... been that way for a few yrs now. Hoping they can put in some $$ to get them done and when they do this course will be the best bang for your buck around this area.

The greens on holes 13 & 14 are and have been for years TERRIBLE, on 13 there is barely a green and 14 is almost as bad.

I am not a course superintendent, BUT, it appears whatever method they are using to repair these green is useless.

I have spoken to other course superintendents and they indicate to repair a green that have such a fungus, you must dig out the current dirt at least 12 inches down for the entire green (they claim is you try to do spot repair, the fungus will just transfer to the repair area), replace the dirt and plant new seed (what a concept, plant need seed, few courses in Florida do that !).

Otherwise, course is in great shape.

Course was in pretty good shape. There were a couple of rough greens. Fairways good. Staff is very friendly.

Layout is Links style. Conditions on tees and fariways were OK. The greens need work. Don't know if they had fungus issues or some other disease, but the greens on the back nine were not good. A few weeks ago they had a couple of temporary greens and the regular greens

have lots of "splotches" on them. They tried to cover this up with some green sand/paint, but it doesn't help

I played on a Monday and the course was mostly empty. Got in a 3 hour round. The only negative comment isthat 4 greens on the back 9 are in rough shape and have been for several months. They are in major need of repair.

There are a lot of elevation changes and that is unique for a Florida course. I will definitely will play again.

We enjoyed the front nine, pace was great and course conditions were just fine.

We go straight to 10th hole and 5 people had jumped ahead of us and were going to tee off. We were a twosome and asked if we could go ahead of them since we just finished the front nine. They refused and were very rude. We had to play the front nine again. Needless to say we won’t be back.

Nice layout but some of the greens on the back are really in bad shape. Did a hot deal so good value in that regard. Liked it though.

Course, for the most part is great, but there are 3 holes on the back 9 that are not maintained very well. Starting with the par 3 13th hole, where the green is in non playable state in many areas. The same is true for the 14th green and the 15th holes is not maintained. It's like you are playing another course. It's been this way for years with no obvious attempt to repair ?

Sherman Hills has a solid design and set-up. The greens were is good shape, except for two on the back that had some sandy/dead patches. They rolled true...but were VERY slow. They were in good shape, as were the tee boxes. The fairways and rough were in decent shape. The course offers several holes that golfers can really score, and that put wedges in their hands for their approach. For the price...the course was Great!

Always enjoy playing here. A few greens need help but for the price you can’t go wrong. Ice cold beer and friendly people.

Great course. Well maintained. Some holes can be a challenge. Lunch. Course is going to be renovateding number 13 and number 14 green's Well worth the money..
