Brooksville Country Club

As a Hernando county resident I’ve played this course for over a decade… it’s by far the worst course in 3 counties. It used to be a hidden gem with quarry holes and lush greens. This goat ranch is literally unplayable. It’s a shame they let it get this bad. Dry weeded fairways. Greens are unputtable. It’s really in horrific shape. It’s been going down hill for the past year-plus and they’ve done nothing to rehab this course. Not worth your time no matter how good or bad you are at golf

The course has had no water for 6 weeks it was dried out,sandy and weedy. Greens not puttable. Had played there quite a few times previously and loved the course Shocked and sadden by unfortunate conditions beyond their control Front nine closed for repair played back nine twice

I was so saddened to see the condition of this once beautiful course. I think the town of Brooksville should be ashamed for letting this course go. It is unplayable from fairways to greens.

Front nine is closed, greens and tee boxes are burnt!! Not happy with this. It was a great place, and now it's a mess.

Excellent course.

I have played this course a couple times now. While the greens are in relatively poor condition, the course itself is very beautiful, and the quarry holes are really what makes this course shine in a unique manner. I would absolutely recommend this course, and I can only hope that with some time and care this will become one of the more beautiful courses in all of Florida.

NONE of the greens were playable and most of the fairways were in bad shape. They charged me as if the course was in great shape. We will not be going back there.

Absolutely horrible conditions. Avoid this course until they figure it out! Their greens were the worst I have ever played and I have played countless courses. Literally putted off dirt on some holes. It’s unfortunate as the course layout and the query is what made us go back and nothing but disappointed.

THE COURSE HAS NOT BEEN WATERED FOR TWO MONTHS. THE GREENS ARE MOSTLY SAND, AS ARE THE FAIRWAYS.,AND THE TEE BOXES. THE ONLY THING GREEN ARE THE WEEDS. THEY SHOULD CLOSE THE COURSE UNTIL IT IS BROUGHT BACK TO PLAYING CONDITION.

I remember playing here 6 years ago and it went through this same phase of 1 star reviews . This course is the iykyk kind of course in brooksville . If you’re local like me , you should be ashamed of yourself writing a bad review because 6 months -12 months from now you’re going to play here again … it’s just how it works and the course will either be better or worse . I remember all those years ago it was probably one of the best courses around always in great shape now it’s a practice range for the US AirForce ( carpet bombed ) every square inch . No passion left for the love of the game . Sad to see it

Most of the the course was dead and over grown putting greens were full of dirt and dead

This place is the worst golf course I had ever played on. It's the first time. I will never ever go back again. The staff told me only 2 greens are in bad shape. He lied. There were only 2 greens that are in good shape. The greens were 10 percent crabgrass; 90 percent dirt. Tee boxes are in really bad shape and same for the fairways. I don't understand why golfers give this place higher ratings. This golf courses need to be turned back into a garbage dump. Owners do not know how to manage this course.

They should be embarrassed to be open. No fairway grass even less grass on the greens. Played the first three holes then jumped to the three fun holes on the back nine and went home. DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY.
