Bear's Best Atlanta

Course is open. But one can find trouble. Fun and fair course. Strongly recommend for anyone

Winter golf so a little more slack given but no bev cart and the course doesn't loop to the clubhouse. Great layout with tons of potential and great views while you wait 3-5 minutes every shot just to putt on greens that have been peppered with divots and scuffs. Tried going back in the clubhouse restroom after the round only to see the pro lock up the whole building and grab his sticks and hop on a cart... with plenty of daylight left. Might be back in spring to check for improvements

Always enjoyed playing in Bears Best from the bag dropped to the front desk. Ian was very accommodating with our request. It was a lot of fun to experience playing a compilation of 18 holes that Jack Nicklaus designed. If you have not played this course I encourage you to play. The customer service is top notch.

Bear's Best has been a favorite because of the unique holes and design.

It was a mess last September and we don't plan to return until we know someone who has played it recently. Bunkers were washed out, tee boxes in bad shape, bald areas everywhere! To pay a premium for a course in such bad shape helped convince us to drop Bear's Best from our list.

Possibly the best course in Gwinnett, the staff was amazing, the course was in excellent condition and it was as very challenging for an avid golfer. This course has everything one could expect from a public course especially for the price.

First time I’d been in a few years. Whoever currently owns it seems like they trying to run it in the ground. Friendly staff, but that’s ab it. A shame really, used to be great

Been wanting to play bears best with my golf buddy's for a while now but it's expensive and figured we would save it for a special occasion like a birthday or something

Yesterday while trying to book a tee time I notice a hot deal for $40 which is an amazing deal for this course  and it lined up perfectly with our schedule so we booked it

I'll try to make this short

Course was about avg for the local courses in atl and surrounding areas

Pace of play was absolutely the worst I've ever seen it took us 2+ hours to play 4 holes waiting around 20 mins or so on each tee box

Condition of the course was not good

Southland in stone mountain is the cheapest course I play regularly and to be honest southland might be in better shape but for $20 on avg you can't complain

If I spend $100 for the same conditions here at bears best I'd be furrious

There are a few holes that stick out like the par 3 11th was something special other then that super average over all

GPS carts were avg but kept insisting we were off the the cart path when we weren't which was pretty annoying

The Burger at club house was ok

Honestly nothing special about this place and I would never ever recommend playing the course for anything more then a $40 green fee anything over that would be a rip off

Pro store had some really nice merchandise probably the best I've seen at any course and the prices were fair so that's a plus

All staff were very friendly and helpful seems like everyone enjoys working there and it reflects

Other then the horrible pace of play everything was pretty average so I'm a little disappointed only because this is considered one of atlantas best public courses and it didn't deliver

3 star course all things considered

This is a great course for all level of players. Lots of sand traps and some water. Fairways are fine for this time of year. Greens are not as good because people don't fix divots. Staff is great.
