Most unpleasant round
It’s 4:15hrs in and I’m sitting on 16 waiting again. Every shot, every hole, we’re waiting. Beverage girl saw us on 2 and said she’s leaving. Add cart path only and this is the most unpleasant golf experience in years. I won’t be back.
Pretty good condition. Greens rolling well-could be faster.

My Favorite Course
I love this course and I am a member of a club here in Virginia. This is by far my favorite course to date. The black sand is a really cool detail that you will not find on many courses. Everyone was super nice and helpful. The fairways and greens are perfect. I cant wait to play again.

Excellent course!!
Course was in perfect condition, would highly recommend this place. Only downside was the cart person only showed once on the back 9.

This course is very maintained and in great shape. Besides the group not letting us play thru, this course is top notch

Recommended
First time playing twilight on a Thursday.
Course is in great condition. A little sandy on the greens so I guess they recently aerated them.
Regardless the course was fantastic and I finished the first 14 holes in just over an hour before I got stuck behind a super slow foursome.
At least the marshal was vested in pace of play as that foursome let two 2-somes play through. I will definitely play here again when I come back to visit.

Nice Course - Horrible Carts
Very nice course and picturesque. We played on cart path only day due to rain. The carts slow down and brake automatically several times cart would not go forward or extremely slowly and would flash message return to cart path. We never left the cart path seems as though the gps is not accurate on its location.
Bunkers are horrible - need to replace sand
Would play it again hopefully not on cart path only day however.

We do put in slow downs on the carts when approaching some bends on cart path and crossing roads, but we apologize for the "return to cart path" message when you were already on the cart path. We will definitely look into that. Our bunkers were washed out by Tropical Storm Claudette with over 3” of rain Saturday evening through Tuesday morning. We were working on restoring them to normal playing conditions yesterday and will continue until they are back to normal. Thank you again for your feedback and we hope to have you back soon!

Well Maintained and Challenging Course
All 18 holes on this course are designed to mimic courses from all across the world. This provides a unique and challenging golf experience. Approach shots are key for good play due to tight putting greens and lots of bunkers surrounding the surface. Some holes played fast and others were slow adding the exciting challenge. Golf carts are GPS enabled helping club selection. Some functionality was still missing as some holes were cart path only, but no warning or reminder was provided, but once on fairway cart was slowed down with warning to return to cart path. This impacted play due to cart speed being reduced. That was the only negative experience. Will definitely play here again for right price.

Need to invest in course
Course use to be at a higher level of quality but overtime has shown its wear and tear. current owner of the course appears to be cash cowing the course at the expense of maintenance/reinvestment.. For example, traps vary in level of quality with no or very little sand to sufficient sand. Traps are not maintained on a regular basis (raked, etc.). Bent grass greens are average to below average at best during summer given the heat and volume of playing with golfers doing little or no ball repair etc,. which makes the greens difficult to putt. If price point is $65 to $75 per round it is worth playing. At $90/$100 and greater, there are better better course to play that are in significantly better overall condition.

Course was in great shape, except the bunkers. Some had very little sand in them, making it extremely difficult to get out. Greens were great, rolled pure.

Really not worth it
I really expected more. The course plays fair and the tee boxes were great. Greens were terrible. Inconsistent speeds and shaggy.
I won't play here again. Not for $95
