Bear's Best Atlanta

This is my first time playing here. The winter in Atlanta has not been great so pretty much all the courses around here are in similar condition. The biggest turn off here is the price point. Teetimes from $90-$135. Tee boxes are beat up. Fairways not in great condition. To rip people off charging that much with the course in this condition is a shame. If I hadn’t snagged a hot deal ,I would have been really mad. Odd thing. They won’t give you the cart key until 5 minutes before your Tee time and no range balls included. I’m sure in spring once the grass is back it will be better. Will be interesting to see what they charge then. For now, I’d play elsewhere for less since every course is in the same condition right now. Definitely not Jack’s best right now.

Service was below expected and tee times were delayed. Starter was no help. Course conditions were rough as the course had poor drainage. Need to play on a dry course only. Our threesome did not enjoy the round and honestly will not back.

Love playing this course, have only been able to play it a few times but have loved it every time. Course is a great challenge to all levels!

Even though we had a frost delay. The staff handled it well with a Shotgun start.

Each hole mockly designed after world famous golf courses unique holes, makes this a very intriguing course. The greens were all undulated making putting a challenge.The par-3s, especially over water were legit. Course is in really shape considering it’s December.

Will be back, would love to play it when it is dry and warmer temps.

For many in the metro area I think this course is worth a decent drive to get to. Interesting nod to Nicholas’ best holes from around the world, makes for a good overall track that’s reasonably well-maintained.

This was my second time playing BB and even though it was cold I enjoyed it more this time than the last. This is a great track and I would play here more but it’s a bit pricey. Played for 80 and that was with discounts.

This is a very nice course which is in very good condition. (Bermuda fairways have just gone dormant mid December) Greens rolling very smooth, maybe a little slow due to recent weather effecting mowing schedule...Staff friendly. Excellent practice area. Carts have GPS, pace of play, cart path only, and speed cautions. Maybe the carts are a little bossy - ha! I like the forgiveness off the tee a priority on accuracy of approach shot this course offers. I recommend this course and look forward to playing again.

Cartpath only, have no idea why. Course was dry. Fairways and greens are good, bunkers are unrated and tees are scratchy. But layout is really good. A bit slow, but not awful. If you think that this will be an exact replica of Nicklaus favorites, it won't be. But none the less, they are interesting and it is a fun course to play.

This course is incredible. great fairways, incredible greens. One hole has black sand and it’s a different feeling than any bunker I’ve ever been in. Fluffiest sand ever.

I only started playing golf a few months ago, so I’m not sure if weather affects green speed or not, but wow, you could barely apply any pressure and it would roll 10-15 yards on the green, I did score my first birdie ever on hole 16 par 3, so it’s been my most memorable game so far. Incredible

In great shape. Really cool you get to play some of Jack Nicklaus best designed golf holes. Plus even with all replica holes the course still flows nicely.

Marshals need to enforce speed of play. Cost to rent clubs were expensive. Over 5 hours to play and we waited on almost every shot. 4 in our group.
