Bear's Best Atlanta

Everything is in great shape right now! A couple of bad spots on outer green areas and a couple of thin tee boxes, but nothing of consequence. Would have appreciated the bunkers being groomed this morning as I spent quite a bit of time in them, but they raked out nicely. Greens and fairways - wow!

Course was in great shape except the traps where the sand was fairly hard due to all of the rain that made it quite challenging to hit a decent shot out of it. Did not have even close to my best game but really had a great time and the weather that day was fantastic. Love playing this course as it is challenging but getable if you can hit your spots consistently. The staff is very nice and friendly and I look forward to playing it again.

Wide open so bring you long game and have fun. A few houses too close to fairways. Can be a long round when path only. Several bunkers hadn't been tended to and we played as free drop areas. Greens were great. Restaurant does not have dinner or a real bar, more of a refreshment stand.

This is a very nice course. Great staff, carts are outfitted with GPS tech, and practice facilities available for hitting, putting, chipping. Clubhouse seems to be modern and while I didn't try the restaurant, it looked ample. Cart services while you play for refreshments. A few doglegs that can get you in trouble but course is fairly wide open from the tees. Greens were in good shape. Some work being done that caused some tees to be moved up and some cart path only holes. With the rain and heat, some of the sand traps were baked but hey, shouldn't be in there in the first place!

Course was fantastic and well worth the drive up from Atlanta! Layout was fun and provided plenty of opportunities to take an aggressive or conservative approach. Greens were fair and rolled true. Additionally plenty of water stations for a hot summer day. I’ll be back!

Course layout is a lot of fun. Greens rolled quick and true. Fairways were in great shape. Most of the tee boxes were in solid shape.

Layout is great obviously, staff is great, and green were in good shape, but bunkers (other than black sand) need work and some tee boxes and fairway spots as well. Still worth playing but would be amazing if they tightened up maintenance!

Title says it all. Worst experience from any of the metro Atlanta courses .

This is one of the best courses in the Atlanta area. It is in great shape except for a few tees that need new sod. Friendly and helpful staff. I’ll definitely play it again.

Greens rolled true, but a little slow. Fairways in excellent shape. They are working on bunkers, but we found most of them in pretty good condition. Some tee boxes a little rough. Grill room is pretty spartan and, although they say they offer “breakfast”, when we got there at 9:15 to eat before our round, we were told the cook “usually” arrives about 10 am. So, maybe they should say they serve brunch.

The course is really looking good. Greens are some of the best in GA, rolling smooth, fast and minimal ball marks!!! Course drained well even after some rain and bunkers are pretty good. Only complain would be some tee boxes have minimal grass but the staff told us they are going to be sodding them over the next couple weeks. Overall the course has come back great after a rough winter. Look forward to playing again.

Excellent course design. Offers variety of challenges while being very forgiving. We'll maintained and staff very service driven. Will be back.

Course is in great shape and continues to be one of my favorite designs and challenges. Wish it was a little more affordable for non-members though.

BB is the best daily fee value in metro Atlanta. They've redone about half the bunkers, the other half is due to get sand later in '23. That's a game changer, since sand hasn't been refilled out there in years.

Greens condition would be that of an excellent resort if players had a clue how to repair ballmarks, or if the course figured out how to monitor that better. We all wish people would take care of their own, and many of us fix 3 or more each green, but it's about time that better public courses literally send someone out to 6 Greens a day to spend 15 min or so repairing damage.

Course was in good condition other than some fairway bunkers. Greens were solid, some ball marks but rolled decent. Pace was a bit slow but not too bad (about 4 1/2 hrs). Overall a great course to play and worth the price.
