Black Gold Golf Club

I was impressed with the staff's great attitudes, everyone was more than helpful. The course was excellent, almost kept it under par until the last couple of holes. Pace of play was average for public golf at about 4.5hrs.

Great condition. Pace at play was very slow saw marshal but didn't speed anything up. Everything else was first rate

You pay a premium to play and should have tee times that represent that. 4 hours in 11 holes played. Greens in nice shape, staff is super friendly just pace of play can ruin a day and with 9min tee times you are setup to fail every time.

Many tee boxes were not in use.

Many fairways were not accessible by carts.

And, at least one fairway had cart signs where the carts were not programmed to operate!

For $150 dollars, I expect to play an elite public course. I was thoroughly unimpressed by Black Gold. Not from the area, but locals had recommended. Rough was uneven all over, greens rolled to about an 8, maybe less. About a week after aeration but no notification. I feel robbed, honestly.

The greens were a little bumpy from being punched but the price was reduced so it was expected. The layout was fun and challenging and the fairways were perfect.

The course is very nice and the staff was great. They were aerating their greens so the greens fees was lower than usual. What bothered me was the pace of play. I’m not some weekend hacker who just gets to the ball and hacks away. I want to improve my game and forgive me if I want to properly address the ball. However I was so exhausted by the end of the round that I’ll never go back. There were weekend hackers who were on our 6 o’clock in the back 9 and the marshaler was encouraging, in my opinion, too quick of a pace of play. Very unsatisfied!
