About
Shadow Lakes Golf Club sprawls across rolling hills with Mount Diablo looming in the background. Dramatic elevation changes characterize the course, providing both challenges and scenic views of the East Bay Area. The undulations of the terrain range from subtle to dramatic and helped to determine the strategic placement of the sharply sculpted bunkers, of which there are many. The design of the golf course blends seamlessly with the existing landscape with swaths of native grasses outlining each hole and natural rocky outcroppings coming into play throughout. The course incorporates links-style characteristics as well as a variety of different challenges including water hazards and deep rough. One particularly memorable water hole is the par-4 16th. This is Shadow Lakes Golf Club's signature hole that features an island green that slopes in front, back into the water.

Fun fun fun
Made a tee time on Monday. We were paired up with another 2 some. Course is in great shape. Greens were rolling true. I just want to thank everyone at shadow lakes golf course for getting it back to 18 holes!! I already booked a time for next Monday!!⛳️⛳️
Fslow round
Shadow Lakes recently re-open to an 18 hole course which is the good news. The bad , courses not mark very well for distances or yardages. Staff was not overly friendly and it took five hours to play around. No Marshalls, clubhouse does not answer the phone when you call. Courses in good condition and it is a good layout.
Mesmerizing Views Of Mount Diablo
The ups and downs at this course are interesting. The smallest green is the 190 par 3 14th over water hazard with water right too. It’s probably the easiest/flattest green on the course if you manage to hit a good tee shot that must be long and straight.
. ..Tbis hole will open as will 8 others completing this 18 hole track that has had its closures and now reopening after seeing what 9 holes Played twice and a range looked like…
Some pin positions will give you Vertigo. A few approaches will roll back if you dont play to middle when front pins.
It’s a very interesting track interwoven between hills, lakes, and lateral hazards with uphill and downhill shotmaking required and slope knowledge especially on 18.
Go get some. It’ll be 18 next week.
I’m sure the homeowners surrounding the property are going to benefit from this re opening…
Don’t book on golf now
If you book on golf now it won’t be on their tee sheet. They don’t use golf now. Call direct to course to book.
Friendly staff but…
I can see this “could” be a great course. I wasn’t aware the course is being renovated and they loop mixture of holes to produce a 9/18. I’ll check back when it’s complete and update my review. For those whole use a tracking watch, you’ll have to guess which hole you’re playing if you never played before.
Shadow is back!!!
Course is getting back to its previous glory....and all 18 holes will be back this fall.
Major re-construction
Very poor due to major construction, play front 9 twice as a result. No thi g on the web site indicated the poor conditions etc.
Course under repairs
Only 9 holes playable, and parts are difficult to navigate. Should be nice to play when renovations are completed.
