Blackstone Golf Club
About
Blackstone Golf Club is one of the hidden gems of Chicagoland golf courses. It has one of the most natural landscapes of any course in the area thanks to the incorporation of more than 26 acres of environmentally protected wetlands. Half of the course is routed through dense forests of oak and hickory trees while the other half stretches across lush, open meadows. The wetlands come into play on 13 holes. Bob Lohmann, the golf course’s designer, crafted dramatic bunkers with irregular edges and strategically placed more than 50 of them along the greensides and fairways. It’s not a golf course where you can “grip it and rip it,” instead it will force you to think carefully before each hole. The layout can be a challenging test but four sets of tees and wide, player-friendly fairways make Blackstone G.C. more accessible for a wide range of skill levels.

A Special Place!
All be it remote... (a 50 min trip for me)... Blackstone is well worth the trip!
I've played this pristine conditioned and challenging course frequently the past 8 years.
Selfishly... I wish to keep Blackstone for myself and a small group of friends. So please don't come! LOL
Top notch
Greens and traps were excellent. Greens are quick but fair. Love this course
This place is the best
Always a pleasure to play this course. Staff is ALWAYS friendly and helpful. The course is fun and challenging Just outstanding
Highly recommended
Love this course. Great layout, friendly staff, top notch conditions & some of the fastest, truest greens in Chicagoland. We drive up from south suburbs, better than an hour, 2-3 times a year. It’s that nice.
Great Course at a Reasonable Rate
I have watched Blackstone mature and developed since it first opened. It started out as a good layout with some of the best greens in the area. It has become the best Public Course in the area.
Well maintained and great greens great shape
Great shape . Plays a lot harder than it looks. Greens are misleading but awesome
Best secret destination in far NW suburbs
Great track with solid staff. The rangers actually want to get you around in 4 hours. Course is superb. You need to play this gem of a course.
Beautiful Course in a Resort Like Setting
This course is extremely challenging for my game but that only has to do with my inability to hit the ball long off the tees. The greens are AMAZING. After putting on these you wont like other courses as much. A side benefit to playing here is the beautiful setting and the custom built homes around the course. They too are AMAZING. Million Dollar homes selling for half the price! Come take a look.
Blackstone
Gem of a course.
Greens are fast but true and consistent
5 par 5's
5 par three's
course rangers keep a good pace.
Should be on everyone's bucket list.
Pro shop run extremely well
Very challenging, never gets old
The conditions and layout offer a very fun and challenging round of golf.
Best Value for your play
I almost hate to review this course because I'm afraid too many people will show up and clog the course or take over a great deal. I like the front nine with 3, 3 and 3: par fours, par fives and part threes. This course has open holes, crowded woods and water on most holes (though some are not really in play). The course is very well maintained with fast greens, and the pace of play is great. This is well worth the trip for people who don't live nearby, but a must for those who do.
One hour drive from home and worth it! I play with a group of seniors on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I played 42 different courses during 2017, and Blackstone is among the top five favorites. Our group played the course 3 times during 2017.
This course has the best staff
I have golfed at this course for several years, and have never had a bad experience the staff are great at their job. I have, and will keep telling all my friends to go, and enjoy Blackstone for them selves.
Good course but way too expensive
The course is way overpriced. Decent course but probably 35 percent more expensive than it should be.
Always nice.
The folks at Blackstone are always nice. From the pro shop to the beautiful bar. The course is always in great shape as well. It is evident the game of golf and the players paying to play it are their top priority. My only constructive criticism is for Blackstone is to provide a little better type of rental clubs. Of course, most real golfers bring their own. Fine golf course. Challenging yet relaxing. Thanks!
We'll be back, the course was challenging but fair and in excellent condition.
What a treat!
Amazing course! Fantastic conditions even after 2 days of rain. Greens wet, but still rolling true and fast. Lots of risk vs reward shots and target shooting. This track is worth full price any day!
One of the nicest courses I've ever played! Usually a bit too pricey for my budget but scored a "Hot deal" on Golfnow. The course will not disappoint.
