Whisper Creek Golf Club

I have not been out to Whisper Creek in over a year. I used to frequent it regularly, but getting an early tee time was near impossible and the pace of play especially on the weekend used to be 5+ hours.

We got an early time on Sunday and got to the third hole and hit a down pour for about 15 minutes. I think this scared alot of people away and made it clear sailing for us the rest of the day. We finished as a foursome in less than 4 hours. The course with the exception of the traps were in great condition. The traps were completely unplayable. And this had nothing to do with the rain. There simply was no sand in them. This course could be mint if they just fixed that issue. Its a challenging track and has a great balance between target golf and grip em and rip em holes. I hope the next time I come the pace is good and the traps are filled. It will keep me coming back more than once a year.

The course plays to someone that is straight off of the tee.

Course needs some h2o Mother Nature or other. Bunkers in terrible shape. Makes u want to stay out of them

I used to love coming here but lately it's been terrible. 5+ hour round because the 4some in front of us was exhaustingly slow. There were no one out there from Whisper Creek to move play along. The sand from the bunkers were rock hard and appeared no one had done anything to them all year. Lastly, the price has gone up and I'm willing to pay for a good course, but this was not it. I'll spend my money elsewhere moving forward.

Had a wonderful time, only item that did not prevent better ratings was the traps, they were mostly clay with very little sand.

First time playing at the course, and over all, it was good. The only thing is that it wasn't clear of of course layouts.

Some of the holes were not known where the green was for the first time players. A map on the score card were kind of small but readable. I wish, there is a big picture of each holes on the course right next to par, and yardage info.

The course itself it challenging yet gettable with good shots off the tee. Fairways and greens are in great condition, the bunkers are the only issue. Looks like they've just given up on them, maybe they're waiting to re-do them? Either way, more than worth it for a deal time. Nice staff and snack area. Grass range is also a bonus
