Located just 40 minutes from downtown Chicago, Coyote Run Golf Course is one of the area's best golf values. At just under 6,478 yards from the back tees, the course is challenging enough for the scratch golfer but gentle enough for less advanced players to approach with confidence. Each of the three tees offers a unique look and feel, providing plenty of variety. Water plays a prominent role on the golf course, coming into play on a total of 11 holes beginning with the opening hole. The tee shot on this par 4 requires a carry over water to a generous landing area. Careful course management and skillful approaches to the sloped greens are the key to doing well on this layout. Coyote Run G.C. also boasts a lighted driving range with grass tees and four target greens, practice putting and chipping greens, and even a three-hole practice course.

Great course
Playing this course was a pure joy. Well worth the trip from DT Chicago to play 18 here.
Great Value
The course was in great shape, staff friendly. The course starts you out very easy. Then it starts undulating, gradually gets narrow and water comes into play. We went out on a late Sunday afternoon. We played at our own pace, never rushed nor held back. Grooming was pleasing. I will definitely go back.
Played this course for the first time on a Sunday. Enjoyed it so much I went back for a twilight the following Friday.
Pace was slow on the weekend, but the ranger acknowledged that and said he was doing his best to get/keep things moving.
Conditions are excellent. Greens have plenty of ball marks, but that's on the golfers not the course.
Staff seems to have the right balance of being friendly, but also wanting to make sure things are running smoothly.
The course layout is really what caught my attention. They squeezed a lot of fun, challenging golf holes in a small space.

Solid Course
This is a very solid course. Conditions were great, layout was nice, people were friendly and took pride in the course. Only constructive criticism is the Blue tees say 6478 on the scorecard but it seemed like several holes were 30 yards shorter even with the tees all the way back. So it felt more like 6100-6200.
A consistent track!!
The fairways and rough were recently cut,bunkers were raked and grooved.greens were soft due to overnight rains average speed but were true,overall a very enjoyable day on a nice local course.
Great course
I don’t normally write reviews (although I’m thankful of those who do), I wanted to chime in on this course. This golf course has a great layout and is well kept. The greens are especially in great shape. It especially tailors to precision play as opposed to distance giving an advantage back to shorter hitters. I definitely would recommend this course. I gave the staff 4/5 because the starter made some smart remarks in a condescending way that we waited to take the tee until exactly our tee time. Apparently we are supposed to wait 15mins at the box so he knows we are there.
