Located just 40 minutes from downtown Chicago, Coyote Run Golf Course is one of the area's best golf values. At just under 6,478 yards from the back tees, the course is challenging enough for the scratch golfer but gentle enough for less advanced players to approach with confidence. Each of the three tees offers a unique look and feel, providing plenty of variety. Water plays a prominent role on the golf course, coming into play on a total of 11 holes beginning with the opening hole. The tee shot on this par 4 requires a carry over water to a generous landing area. Careful course management and skillful approaches to the sloped greens are the key to doing well on this layout. Coyote Run G.C. also boasts a lighted driving range with grass tees and four target greens, practice putting and chipping greens, and even a three-hole practice course.

I like this course but the pace of play was very slow. There was a ranger out on the course but didn't seem to provide guidance to the groups creating the slow play.
Nice mix of challenging holes
Nice course , conditions were very good. Greens rolled were not easy to read. While pace was average, for Chicago on a weekend, was above the usual. 5 hour round—4:25
Best course around
Course was in perfect shape. Challenging but not too difficult. Pace was just under 4 hours. Staff was excellent. Will definitely play again soon!
Fun Course for This Price Range
Im an 8 handicap, and play about 10 rounds a year for context. I played the course for $65 cart included, and for that price range this is an excellent course. Its only 6500 yards from the back tees, but it plays longer with well placed hazards on most holes and a few long par 3’s to test you. A great example of a course thats not too difficult for higher handicap players (i played my round with two 18 handicaps and they loved it) but still provides plenty of challenges for better golfers looking to score. Might not be quite long enough for really elite players, but for the majority of us its a good spot.
Played from Whites and many hazards were taken out of play. Will definitely play next tee box. Nice layout and really enjoyed well groomed course. Good value and pace was good.
