About
Located just northwest of Chicago, the Eaglewood Resort & Spa opened for play in 1932. It is a classic championship golf course, built during a time when the long drive was unheard of. The 6,017-yard layout seems short by today's standards, but the course still offers a formidable challenge. It features rolling fairways lined with century-old oak trees and wildly undulating, difficult-to-read greens with varying speeds that fluctuate depending on the weather, season, and even time of day. There are generous landing areas but they are bordered by deep, strategically placed bunkers that are just waiting to swallow even slightly errant shots. The carefully sculpted and plentiful bunkers are a prominent feature of the layout. Eaglewood's scenic landscape also has three lakes that come into play on eight holes.

Golfer Reviews
Rainy season
A lot of rain recently, so cart path only. Pace of play still very good under 4 hours. We played on a Monday so no beverage cart and no water on coarse. It was wet but very few puddles. Greens were good.
Course condition
Course was a little soggy but with all the rain we had recently it couldn’t be avoided. Otherwise , the course is always fun to play.
Great staff
The staff makes the course more welcoming —-keep up the good work—-thanks
A little gem
I like this course. Sometimes the pricing gets a little high but when it's reasonable it's fun and usually not that busy. Greens are well kept and fairly fast. Everyone is friendly
It’s not worth $99
Hello live in the area and was just recently looking for a course to play and thought, how can they charge $99? The course isn’t necessarily in bad shape it’s is in close proximity to other tee boxes when you’re on a green or vice versa. It’s a short course that has a lot of other fairways & greens that come into play. No distance between holes. On the other hand it’s right next to Medinah CC and has a lot of those mature oaks that line the fairway. There are A LOT of other courser that are under $85 to play that don’t have the same “fore” experience for the buck. Just saying
Beautiful setting
This course is in a beautifully wooded area. Not a great deal of intrigue to the layout but very enjoyable. The negative side of the course conditions is the patrons don’t repair their ball/pitch marks. Consequently the poor conditions of the greens does not match the excellent conditions of the fairways.
Nice and fairly challenging
We enjoyed playing this course. It's not that difficult but fairly challenging. The course is usually is pretty good conditions and staffs are friendly. The greens are nice but could be even better if people epair their ball marks.
Do not hit in the sand
Great local course that is a good challenge for most golfers. The pace was great and the staff did a great job making sure the pace was good.
