About
Located just northwest of Chicago, the Eaglewood Resort & Spa opened for play in 1932. It is a classic championship golf course, built during a time when the long drive was unheard of. The 6,017-yard layout seems short by today's standards, but the course still offers a formidable challenge. It features rolling fairways lined with century-old oak trees and wildly undulating, difficult-to-read greens with varying speeds that fluctuate depending on the weather, season, and even time of day. There are generous landing areas but they are bordered by deep, strategically placed bunkers that are just waiting to swallow even slightly errant shots. The carefully sculpted and plentiful bunkers are a prominent feature of the layout. Eaglewood's scenic landscape also has three lakes that come into play on eight holes.

Great course
Played here many times and the course was absolutely beautiful! The greens are huge and difficult at times. So much fun.
Overpriced
I used to enjoy this course, but unfortunately my recent experience was disappointing. They do not use tee times and instead tell everyone to come in, which led to the course being extremely overcrowded with little to no pace-of-play control.
For $70 to play 18 holes, I expected a much better experience. Spending so much time waiting on every hole took away from the enjoyment of the round. The course itself is decent, but the lack of organization makes it hard to justify the price.
There are several better-managed courses in the area that offer a more enjoyable round for the same money or less.
The best staff
Eaglewood has an outstanding staff. They make the difference.
Jack and the three amigos
Good but not at full price
Relatively short course with a lot of similar holes. Nicely treed and generally, course was in good condition (pretty wet in low spots). Play was really slow due to some really slow players (no ranger) and short par 4’s on front 9. Luckily at the turn we played through a really slow group and the back 9 was at a much more pleasurable pace. I would not play this course at full price but I got a deal so it was okay.
GREAT COURSE
We had a great time here
Shorter course but challenging with sand and sloped greens
Would return here
Great value
This Kors was in great shape, and was a great value. I would play again.
Great course!
Really fun course to play. Course was in great shape and perfect distances for an average golfer from the whites.
The beat starr

Early season treat
Felt that the course was in better shape than I could imagine this early in May. Staff was excellent and we finished in three and a half hours. Decent experience on the links....
Fairways and Greens were immaculate. Pace of play was great.
backed up
The round started out ok, but slowly began to back up. We waited approx. 5 minutes on the 2nd , 3rd, and 4th tee. 10 minutes for the 5th and 6th. over 20 on the 7th. When we got to the 7th tee I counted 16 waiting for the 3 on that par 3. The group behind us left along with two from our foursome. I played in the front nine. Then I jumped 4 holes and it was wide open. Then slowly more jumped ahead of me and with me. There were 4 groups very slow. They need to keep and eye on that.
Terrible
They were fertilizing the grass in the middle of the day. The course was wet with strong fertilizer chemicals and the grass was really long around the fairway making your ball extremely hard to find and pace of play longer. I do not recommend this place as they do not take care of the course and like to fertilize the grass while people are playing. You either have to wait for the fertilize guy or walk through the wet strong smell of fertilizer.
Conditions
It's been a nice spring and the conditions were horrible. Big bumps all over slow greens. Rough so high I lost to many balls.
