Great course with lots of elevation changes.
Played as a 2-some on a Tuesday afternoon. Did not encounter other players until 9th hole, so had lunch in clubhouse at the turn to create some distance on the back nine. It had rained the day before, and again on Tues morning, so play was cart path only. This required a lot of walking up and down very hilly terrain and made it a struggle at times. Course has brand new gas carts, but there was an issue with ours backfiring occasionally and needing adjustment of brake & gas peddles to alleviate jerking when stepping on the gas. Overall a very nice course and facility - will continue to play again as the opportunity arises.
Nice Course
I enjoyed it. There are some very picture worthy holes throughout the course. The green are pretty beat up from the number of rounds played on them but that is to be expected. For the money it think it was a good value. We payed more for a course a few days before that wasn't as nice or as picturesque as this one.
Great track.
Set in beautiful Lake of the Ozarks. The course was in great shape. A lot of senic holes. Very friendly course, not to hard. The staff was very friendly. Only negative thing was the tax on the golf. In California we do not have tax on golf. If your in the area a must play.
A ten for tantara
Challenging & fun to play. Picturesque holes. Greens & fareays were in good conditionn despite heat & lack of rain. Would def play again
Gem of the Ozarks
By far the best priced course at The Ozarks. $75 on a weekend, compared to the $100+ the competition is charging, is a steal. You can play it during the week for even cheaper, like $55. The greens are absolutely phenomenal, undulated and tricky, easily some of the best at the lake. The layout is tree lined with lots of elevation changes and some spectacular views. Lots of neat water features, especially on the Par 3's. You better bring your A game though, cause this course well test all aspects from tee to green. I will definitely be back.
Great course
Excellent place to play. Found a hot deal and this course is well worth the money. Difficult course because very few level lies. Course in excellent condition considering all the rain. Highly recommended.
Thank you so much for playing The Oaks and for the kind review. Yes, it has been a very wet Spring but my team has done an awesome job keeping it in great shape. Beautiful course
Very comfortablexcited course for the average and above average golfer. The course is in great shape, with long holes and wide fairways
Thank you so much for playing The Oaks! We are thrilled to hear you loved the course. Our maintenance staff has been putting in long hours and hard work to get the course in the fantastic shape it's in, and we appreciate you noticing. Come see us again. A Must Play Course
They had 13 inches of rain in the previous 2 weeks but the course held up well. Greens were superb outside of inconsiderate players who don't repair ball marks. It's a lake course so your tee ball is key. Not only is accuracy a must, but when the course dries out, your problem will be keeping driver in the bag as the left to right slope of the fairways will get you in trouble and cost you strokes. Staff was outstanding and can't wait to play it again as I will think a little different on some shots. I didn't score very welll but those days will happen and never the course fault. A very good test of golf
Thank you so much for playing The Oaks and for fixing your ball marks! Yes, that is a problem and we really appreciate you doing your part. That was quite some rain we had, and I'm sure you noticed it left our grounds crew with plenty of work, but I can assure you those April showers brought some serious May flowers. We considered putting GPS units on the carts, but with all the free apps out there for smart phones, we decided to add yardage features on our scorecards instead. We'd love to have you back again this summer when the course really blossoms. For a special rate, e-mail me at Spencerwilson@pga.com, mention this review, and I'll a send you a promo code.
Course Condition
Played in early April. Fairways were dry and lacking normal summer grass thickness and height. Many areas of the fairways had been recently seeded, re-sodded, or under repair likely due to rough winter conditions. Greens were in pretty good shape. Course layout was very good as it wound through the hills and met the Lake of the Ozarks on a couple holes. No GPS on carts but each hole had a marker post for identifying 150 yards out in each fairway. Overall, enjoyed the experience but would likely be even better later in season.
Thank you so much for visiting The Oaks! You are correct. Our fairways can be a little tight in the early months as many of them have Bermuda grass, which we need to survive the hot summer months. We are hoping to solve this problem by working in Zoysia over time. We would love for you to play the course again in the peak months! If you can make it out, e-mail me at spencerwilson@pga.com, mention your review and we will get you a nice discount to come back.

Will definitely go back
It's March so the course is not in top condition. Beautiful course, challenging holes and super friendly staff. We would still golf off season and look forward to peak season when the course is top notch!

70's in February!
Due to it being Feb, the course is a little rough around the edges, but still beautiful, and tough! The greens a very fast, and the rough is thick. I had a blast, going back today!
