Watering the course
We played this course in the middle of the afternoon. Starting on the 3rd hole as we were getting ready to hit our approach shots to the green, a course worker rode up on a cart to the watering pedestal and turned on the sprinklers for the green, we had to hop on the cart and fly back up the fairway to keep from getting soaked! We had to wait for 5 minutes for the sprinklers to quit. We literally had to wait 5 minutes or more on 12 of the 18 holes we played because of the sprinklers being turned on. Seriously, who the heck waters their course in the middle of the afternoon?!?! Obviously this course does and has no respect for paying players. We will never be back and will be telling everyone we know about this experience we had here.

Unique golf course with lots of scenic views. Course is In Great shape and challenging!

Fun and challenging course
This is not a course you want to walk. Elevation changes and some very fun holes. Amenities were great and so was the staff.

Owner was very helpful Just a gem in lake of the ozarks. Going back two days later to play again.

Starter not friendly
The starter was more interested in getting us finished than letting us enjoy our round. Tried to rush us to the first tee after we had already purchased range balls and Ben though we had more than 20 minutes until our scheduled tee time and was quite rude about it.
Phyllis in the half-way house is awesome
Other than this one person, (the starter) everything about the facility was great.

Green conditions
The only thing that I have to say negative is that people need to use their ballmark repair tool!
The greens were absolutely peppered with ball marks that were unrepaired!
Beautiful course beautiful lay out for the most part very well manicured.
Come on people bend over and fix your Dang ballmarks! If you're good enough to hit the green you should have enough respect for the game and for the golf course to bend over and repair the damage you caused.

A Hidden Gem
Don’t let the strip mall club house scare you off, this is one of the best maintained public courses in Missouri. Layout was fun, course asks a golfer to answer multiple questions with varying skill sets. Not overly challenging but tremendous fun to play.

Fun Course
I returned to Bear Creek because I had remembered the unique elevation changes and blind shots involved on the course. Scenic course, yet close to the main attractions.
The course was in excellent condition. We played on an extremely hot day but there were plenty of water available on the. Challenging, yet fair, includes some unique holes. Certainly not a course one would ever want to walk.
