great condition
The course is in superb condition, greens and faiways perfect, For the price it was unbeatable, beautiful layout with considerable difficulty, a shot makers course, each hole requires some thinking on what type of shot or where to hit the ball.
WORTH THE DRIVE FROM THE STRIP
Course was in great shape. Greens were a little slower than I like but were in very good shape like the rest of the course. will be going back soon. Worth the 45 min. drive from the strip.
This course is well worth it.
Mountain Falls is challenging without being too difficult, always in fantastic condition and is surrounded by wonderful views. All these features make this course well worth the money and drive to Pahrump.
The course is in very good condition. For me (with HI of 22), it was a challenge. I felt the slope should be a little higher rating.
We enjoyed our play here with one exception. The course marshall spoke to us twice during our round when the real problem with slow play was about two groups ahead of us. Each time he spoke to us, we then had a wait at the next tee. It really sort of spoiled the round for us and also for the twosome playing with us. However, we finished our round in exactly two hours, so we really didn't feel there was a big problem, especially with our play.
Course isn't busy and is in great shape and super inexpensive to play
This course is in Parumph an hour drive from Vegas but so worth it the greenest fairways with a gorgeous mountain backdrop. Never busy a pretty wide open and fun course toplay!
An oasis in the dessert
Very well maintained and well worth the price. Pahrump is about an hour from Vegas and the course is located just as you get into town. This course is as nice as the high priced courses in Vegas. If you have the time for a nice drive back and forth from Vegas, this course is worth your trip.
Worth the drive
This course is a hidden gem. Has plenty of character and more water that you typically see on a desert course. If you're waffling about making the drive, do yourself a favor and go play.
Excellent Course
My son and I played on Feb 1, 2013. The course was in very good shape considering the time of year. Staff very friendly and helpful. Play was very fast. My son and I played 18 holes in 3:40 and had to let a couple of groups go through. Locals bunt the ball up the fairways and play very fast. Practice facility is great also. Very much looking forward to playing again later this year. I have a 2 handicap and shot 79. A lot of interesting fun holes.
BEST DEAL AROUND !!!!!!
I have played Mountain Falls before and told a friend about it and finally got him to play there. He was totally impressed. Beautiful course with a good mix of wide fairways and some tuff fairway bunkers. Big greens with alot of undulation .Beautiful scenery. Every employee that we encountered was courteous and made you feel like "they" wanted you to be a part of their facility. Great price for everything....golf,range,food. Now ....to get my other buddies to make the hour long trip to play there. By far top 3 best deals that I've found.
Well worth the drive from Vegas
The staff was fantastic. A great meal at the restaurant. The course was in fantastic condition for the time of year with lots of challenge for average to advanced players.
Super course one of nicest around
This course is wonderful to play the front nine is nice not a big challenge, but the back nine will test you. Nicely place traps and water hazards. I now live in Pahrump and before here in Cali and this course for the money is sweet. The fairways have been always nicely kept and the greens can compete with those in Vegas.
This course is always perfect!!
Beautiful - little slow in afternoon but not bad - I am just a faster player
Favorite course
I play courses all over the U.S., including Atlanta Athletic Club where the PGA championship is played...and Mountain Falls is my favorite course!
Mountain Falls
Course was in great shape, was fun had plenty of hazards to make it challenging, greens were well guarded and had alot of settle humps and valleys. One of the best practice areas i've seen in the Las Vegas area. Pace of play was excellent for a Sunday. Will definetly make the trip out to Pahrump again.
A great place to play.
Mountain Falls may be a bit out of the way -- okay, it's really out of the way. In fact, it's about 60 miles from Las Vegas, but it's got great rates of under $50 (or less if you book using Golf Now) for a course you could easily pay over $150 if it were in Vegas so the few gallons of gas you burn getting there and back is worth it!
I've been playing Mountain Falls every October for the last 6 years and it hasn't disappointed once. The course is absolutely immaculate with pristine tees, fairways and greens. The back 9 is a bit more difficult than the front 9 and the amenities at the course are pretty good with a good sized pro shop, a nice bar and restaurant and very reasonable prices for all food and drinks.
The only downside I would say is that the course mostly meanders through what would be nice desert homes if it weren't for the housing recession. So instead of fairways lined with nicely maintained homes and yards you have empty desert. The bright side of that is errant shots will only hit desert instead of defenseless windows or roofs for the most part -- some holes do have homes on them.
I absolutely recommend this course to anyone who likes Vegas style desert golf, but doesn't want to pay Vegas style green fees.
Greens in perfect condition
Challenging but ordinary front nine(Nicklaus); back nine was great (Olson Group) with many water features and more undulating terrain than front. Greens were fantastic. Worth the drive to Pahrump
course was in real good shape
Course is nice . Front side is desert back side is pretty with trees and lakes. Fairways real nice and greens were good. They had just aireated a few weeks ago so greens came in good
