Near perfect round

Quarry pines is becoming my fav course in town. Had some friends in from the East Coast, we played Quarry and they were in love with it. The course has bounced back from over-seeding beautifully. Greens 9/10, very few bad spots. Fairways near perfect. Tee boxes lush. Pace of play was our only issue. 4hr 40min round. Twilight Sunday round, kinda get it.

Working on it..

I can see they are putting some time and energy into the course. Just coming of reseeding, green where not great but not terrible. Staff is friendly and willing to share changes that have happened.. Better experience than I have had in the past. Will keep coming back..

Fun interesting course

It’s a lot of target golf but interesting to play. One of our favorite courses of the week in Tucson.

Not my favorite course, but

The Pines was in great shape as they have just finished overseeding. This is not my favorite course only because of my play, not the course itself. If you hit your shots straight, you will have no issues with this course. The only negative I have with the Pines is that the back nine is not walkable and we do enjoy walking whenever possible.

Best Course in Tucson

My absolute favorite course in Tucson. They just completed over seeding, so the grass was in excellent shape, and the layout of the back 9 never gets old. Great staff who all were very friendly and accommodating as always. I play Quarry Pines more than any other course for a reason. Why pay the same price at a city course when you could play here?

The front nine looks like most municipal tracks. Back nine played in the Quarry and has multiple elevation changes.

Greens were slow and bumpy. Pace of play was extremely slow, as it was cart paths only due to recent overseeding.

I wish I lived closer

I live almost an hour away and pass by several courses to play there. Staff is always friendly, course is in very good condition, given the time of year, when most courses in the area are NOT. Greens were even pretty good. Pace of play was OK at just after 4 hours, but given the travel time, I wish I could play faster. $67 is a lot of money to play this course at this time of year.

Course is in beautiful shape! Only downside was cart-path only.

Hadn't been to Quarry Pines for maybe a year. I was happy to see what great shape the course was in. Only downsides were that it was cart-path only, and the driving range has been permanently shut down. Makes for a tough "cold start" on the first tee (but I managed it. LOL)

a tale of two 9's

Eight of the 9 holes on the front are flat and a nice warm up to the back 9 where the fun begins. The back 9 are around a canyon and nearly all the holes have changes in elevation.

Nice course, great views

Course is in good condition, it is Cart path only till 10/18 which was not that big of an issue.

First time playing, not obvious where #1 tee is at and the starter was not much help, 'follow those guys'. Water about every 4 holes which is nice. You pass the clubhouse going to #10 tee.

There was a 2some i was following, (never caught up to them but they were in view), but when I get to #10 tee all of a sudden there is a 3some in front of me, and the 2some was in front of them. I really don't understand why courses here in Tucson allow this, there are supposedly marshals at the course. But has happened almost every time I have an afternoon tee time someone decides its their right to start on the back 9.
