On back 9 Photo submitted by Lsj021 on 11/18/2012
One of my favorites.
I love how challenging this course is. You really need to utilize course management on the back 9 for sure.
Great Day of Golf
Beautiful day for golf, course was in great shape a very enjoyable day
A Course with lots of muscle. Terrifyingly Beautiful
When I can get a Golf Now TeeTime deal this is one of my very favorite Tucson area golf courses. It is always well maintained and the elevation changes are staggering. I’ve never played the course from the tips, the Black Tees are plenty hard enough and challenging for my game as it is. As a group, the Par 3 holes are as tough and demanding as most recreational golfers would want. But it’s the sheer rugged beauty of the course being cut from an old rock quarry that makes it so special to me. Bring your camera the first time you play it. And extra balls. LOL
Review
Course was in shape but did a lot of waiting and for how hot is was in the middle of the day, the prices were too steep!
First timer
Course was in excellent condition all around. Really enjoyed the layout, challenging but fair. A short straight hitter can score well here from the black tees. Friendly staff especially the guy working the cart staging area early AM who was very helpful.
Course in great shape. No cart service on a completely booked course
Course in great shap, staff couldn’t be better. Only issue was full booked out day (13 mins) was no cart service. Big course and hard to load up on whatever at the turn.
Had a great time. I will be back
Still enjoy it
Have played it close to 10 times over the years.
Good test.
7 minutes between tee times - come on guys! The group in front payed sooo slow, their skills were not suited for QP.
It should be 10 minutes between tee times, OR, keep the 7 minutes but have rangers out there pushing people along.
Slow pace of play
The front 9 went pretty well, but the back 9 was a nightmare. The 4some in front of us soon had 1 hole open in front of them and then it turned into 2 holes open. Ridiculous to pay good money for a round of golf and it takes 5 hours to play. Never saw a marshall.
Tough but Fair
Keep the ball in play and it’s a very enjoyable course. Two vastly different nines.
No driving range or hitting nets.
