Quarry Pines Golf Club

Course was interesting. Front nine easy and fair. Back nine total target golf and very narrow. Be sure to have your game warmed up as there is no driving range. The course was in good shape.

This course was a quite a contrast between the front and back nines. The front nine is a typical AZ suburban track through a neighborhood. The back nine is where it turned amazing! Playing through the quarry with elevated tee boxes and greens was a fun experience. It was tight, technical and absolutely beautiful.

The only complaint was the pace of play. We were stacked up the entire front nine with golfers in the group ahead setting up a tripod and filming every shot. Do your thing young fella but not when there are four groups stacked. I made a call to the pro shop and asked for some help breaking up the stack to there was no relief until the turn. I guess it is to be expected when it’s 88 degrees with no wind in Southern Arizona. I just try to remember that somewhere, somebody is shoveling snow and I was playing golf on this amazing course. We will be back.

Quarry Pines is a fun course, but stay out of the so called Sand Bunkers. (Where do you get your ‘sand’?)

If you’ve got an old wedge, maybe bring it along for those nasty gravely dirt bunkers.

Overall, its a fun course with a number of interesting holes. Arriving, I thought we were at a muni. Tiny club house, looks like the range was abandoned a few years ago. Pace of play was good on the front 9 but slowed on the back as the course got more difficult.

Course is in great shape. Very challenging with beautiful mountain views and elevated tees and greens.

Quarry was a lot of fun to play. Cool layout with some unique views. Hole 17 view is one of the best I’ve played for the horizon view.

Not your typical desert course. The elevation changes in and out of the quarry made for some fun golf for our group. When the traps are restored on the back nine to match the newly renovated front nine, the course will be in good shape. Add in a new driving range next year and we will be back for more fun!

We bunkers on front 9 were needed and great. Back 9 needs to be completed. No driving range. Shop said it was coming soon though. Great views. Layout is good. Greens were a little slow and grained. Might just be this time of year.

Loved the varied hole layouts and the elevated tee boxes, it was a great experience,

the greens were a bit slow with winter grass but in excellent shape, I will be back,

Excellent course in good condition. The back nine is tough,but a lot of fun.

Wind was an issue but that's just golf. Course is in great shape and the new white sand bunkers are nice. Over all, course was good from tee to green!
