StoneRidge Golf Course
About
Elevation changes are the name of the game here with swings from the tees that could make the most even-keeled soul feel Vertigo. The drop from tee to the fairways is as steep as 350 feet. The stretch of 12 through 15 is particularly height challenging. Designer Randy Heckenkemper likes to compare his course his course to a roller coaster. This for a high season $55 greens fee that wouldn't even be enough to get a ticket into some amusement parks.

Billygoat golf
Course is very hilly, and tricky. Buy the yardage book. Fun target golf. Beautiful views of Arizona central highlands.
Being TRANSPARENT to your customer?
Was a wonderful looking track HOWEVER, Fairways were PLUGGED, Greens were 'under repair '& plugged also.
Would have been nice to be told this PRIOR to taking my money.
Wonderful layout, condition and staff!
Very challenging course, long hitters will not like this course.
An Excellent Day in the Sun
Global warming has its perks -- like Prescott at 65 degrees in January. Playing StoneRidge in such wonderful weather was a great way to enjoy winter golf. The course was in excellent winter condition; well worth a drive on a sunny day. My only critique: repair your carts. Ours looked like it had been sprayed by a large cat and chewed on by a pack of coyotes. Yes, it got us around, but it wasn't up to the quality of the course and club.
Tough, but great winter course
Pretty chilly to play in Prescott Valley in the winter; however, the course makes some of the best use of elevation change and natural topography I've seen. I've played here a couple times and will keep coming back. A great challenge for the experienced weekend golfer.
Great time
Took the drive up from the valley and had a blast. Cooler and windy but the price is unbeatable for a course like this. The pace of play was great. The greens were immaculate and fast. A good variety of holes make it fun. I would highly recommend this course.
awesome course, insane value
This course was fantastic. Challenging but still very enjoyable. Would love to see this course in its prune conditions instead of late fall. Definitely check this course out.
Outstanding course
Course is what I like to play. Elevation changes, bent grass greens and strategy on where and how to hit each and every shot. Course is in outstanding shape from tee to green. Really enjoyed the course except for 18 which is poorly designed and needs to be redone. Staff both in the pro shop and outside were very friendly and helpful. At this time of the year the best conditioned courses are in the Prescott area ( Prescott Golf and Country, Antelope Hills and this course). Well worth the time and effort to go and play these courses while fall is here.
Prescott finest
Ok, so I've not played but two Prescott courses but you'd be hard pressed to find something better, just incredible elevations and views along with the course being in great condition, tough course for me as a 18HC, blind shots, undulating fast greens, small twisting fairways, target golf etc but I was able to shoot 92 and really enjoyed the time out on my own, this is must play course in my book
Nice scenic course
It was hilly and somewhat challenging. The greens rolled well and would know where to hit shots more accurately for direction and distance playing it the next time, which I plan to do. Prescott is so scenic and the people there were extremely friendly which I notice first about someplace. I would recommend this course to be played.
Tons of elevation
Elevation, elevation, elevation...Watch out for those behind you teeing off, we got hit into twice while on the green, some people have no business golfing. Overall, very nice course.
Go see it
Have to say this will be one of my favs courses. Great views, very challenging course, friendly staff, ask Dan in the pro shop about the 18th hole and why its the way it is, great story.
beautiful layout !!!
Golf course is set on a beautiful piece of property
going up & down on a set of small mountains.
Spectacular tee shots & hole layouts.
Bring your A game if you want to score. Otherwise just enjoy the View !!!
can't beat the views
This course is absolutely breath taking... they received a lot of rain so it was cart path only wow some serious hiking and elevation changes. No cart person so it was a long hot and humid round with no refreshments. Worth the drive, come to play and look at the views do come to this course thinking you will shoot the course record.
Love it or hate it
If you are a long hitter and love hitting over ravines, and trees and bushes, uphill and/or downhill onto sloping fareways, then this is the course for you. Otherwise, it's the course from Hades.
PLAY IT
For the valley golfer, this layout will be challenging but oh so much fun. With the dramatic elevation changes and the overall course layout (eye candy) you will be called upon to stretch your strategy skills to the limit. The payoff in play is worth the effort to get there.
Tough Course
If you enjoy target golf, this extremely tough layout is definitely for you! Tough course, long and made longer by the wind (which at times can howl!). Pin placements were sometimes next to impossible and the greens were lightning quick. Definitely a punishing course if you get aggressive. Definitely would not recommend this layout for beginners or novices.
Strategic!
WOW!! Hit fairways!!! Quite a few blind tee shots! Very fun to play! Depending on flag position, there could be some 3-putts! Course knowledge definitely a plus! Will play again.
Best of The Boulders Package
Your review was great! Funny as Hades!!
I'm one of those long hitters so I love this course, but only get to play it once a year or so. :-(
I know what you mean though...
