Elevation changes are the name of the game here with swings from the tees that could make the most even-keeled soul feel Vertigo. The drop from tee to the fairways is as steep as 350 feet. The stretch of 12 through 15 is particularly height challenging. Designer Randy Heckenkemper likes to compare his course his course to a roller coaster. This for a high season $55 greens fee that wouldn't even be enough to get a ticket into some amusement parks.

Worth one round.

A ‘trick’ course, but beautiful surroundings and kept in good condition so worth playing … at least Once. Reminds me of Wolf Creek in Mesquite, NV, maybe not quite as Severe but same ‘style’. You really don’t know Where you’re hitting it but you’ve still got to put it there !! If that doesn’t make sense to you, it will after your round !! For the money, not a real good test of Golf imo, but experience it once and then you can ‘say you’ve Been there’ !!

Must play of staying in sedona

This course is beautiful. Everything was in great shape and the man at the front desk was very helpful. It is a tough course if you have never played it before, there are a lot of blind shots. The course booklet is very helpful. You get two free bottles of water on ice but bring more as there were no water coolers on the day I played. Will definitely be back next time we visit the area.

Stunning - Unreal Value

This course was immaculate in early September. Great warm up area, got a yardage book with the tee time. This course is TOUGH. Total target golf. Think twice before pulling drive and double check your yardages off the tee. Some of the most fun par threes and nicest greens I’ve played on. And all for $60 at 3pm! Best value for money I’ve experienced. Met Brett and Eric with the course and they couldn’t have been nicer. If you are near Prescott, go play here!

Great layout

I played in the afternoon, so there wasn't many people on the course. This made pace of play great for me. The layout of the course was great with 1 or 2 holes having blind shots. They did give me a yardage book that helped out but definitely want to play here again, now that I've seen it. Course conditions were fantastic with the greens not being too fast. That was a good thing because the greens are pretty undulated and some pins would have been unfair.

Wayyyy overpriced!!

$130 for a course that has crappy greens and a staff that was clueless? No thank you…I heard great things of this course and went to escape the heat and was very disappointed….I thought it was maybe worth $80 and there wasn’t even any water on the golf course or range balls included….

Gem

Very fun course layout. Tight and challenging. Had to play the Front 9 twice because the Back 9 was having some work done and still had some snow, but still worth the price. Beautiful scenery, too.

Fabulous course

Outstanding scenery and beautiful views. The course is in great shape; our round was a little slow but understandable with the layout. Pro Shop staff was great as was the restaurant/bartender staff.

Tough course but beautiful

We paid a lot to play this course and there was no help from the staff at the bag drop coming in or leaving. The landscapers were on many of the holes and did not stop when we were hitting. It was a gorgeous course but I was very disappointed at the lack of personnel to assist us on such an expensive course.

Great Course tough conditions

We make it a point to play here each time we're in the Sedona area. Very challenging course, but not terribly long even from the back tees considering the altitude. Unfortunately this time, the course was in the worst shape we've seen. Winter kill on lots of the greens and as a result, most were still coming out of the winter season. Difficult to make putts when your balls bounces left to right and back all the way to the hole. I will note the speed of the greens are consistent. The challenge of this course should be the forced carries and the elevation change from tee to green, not the greens themselves. I would also note that the rough right now is probably as difficult as anything an amateur would want to play. Fairly long and sticky if you miss the fairway or the greens. Based on our past experience, the greens will be back sometime soon. This is a wonderful course and I would recommend playing it if you're in the area. The challenge of the course is one any good golfer would love.
