Elevation changes are the name of the game here with swings from the tees that could make the most even-keeled soul feel Vertigo. The drop from tee to the fairways is as steep as 350 feet. The stretch of 12 through 15 is particularly height challenging. Designer Randy Heckenkemper likes to compare his course his course to a roller coaster. This for a high season $55 greens fee that wouldn't even be enough to get a ticket into some amusement parks.

Expensive with few amenities
No water on the course
No beverage cart
No tees on cart
No GPS
Restuarant closed Monday
Overall very overpriced for the quality of the course
Beautiful & challenges to be had!!
GPS would be an asset!

Who designed this place?
For a retirement/vacation area you would think the course would a little forgiving. Lots of blind shots and elevation changes. It got to be comical on the back nine. Beautiful to look at though.
Proshop was putting callers on hold while eating danish with members.
Beautiful course
Course has some challenge holes, where you are unable to see fairway completely that requires being precise on your tee shots. There are a lot of elevations throughout the course that makes it a little challenging experience
Good
Good not great. Has a couple of “gadget “ holes that you have to remember or you will not play well, even with the book they give you. Especially true of number 18. Price is significantly higher than other local courses.
Target golf
Never played a course where target golf was so important. Quite challenging course with severe slopes. It was a blast. We were given book with suggestions on how to play each hole. So helpful except for 18th. Narrative and picture did not help.
Outstanding
140$ for one golfer in summer is a bit much to experience such a magnificent course but it was worth it! The food at the Turn was awesome drinks where cold, the beverage cart was active the course is stunning and extremely challenging
Aerated Greens - poor conditions
Golfer beware, greens aerated a couple weeks ago and still in very poor condition. No way to hold a line and surprisingly the greens did not hold. Numerous bunkers totally washed out or not maintained and numerous greens have tarps on them and bare spots with no grass.
They don’t mention this on their website nor when you check in.
Very disappointing round.
Unique course layout makes for a challenging round of golf
I love playing this course because it is challenging and the scenery is wonderful. Weather was very windy but no rain.
However, the greens were very bumpy since they had been aerated recently so it was difficult to 1-2 putt often.
Spring golf
I love target golf and Stoneridge has many forced carries, natural areas, and lots of shots navigating elevation changes. Conditions are fair coming of recent aeration. Greens were true and on the slow side. Looking forward to playing here again soon.
Challenging but fun course
Want a challenging course? Stoneridge is for you. It has great views, the course is in great shape. The did punch the fairways on the last two holes other than that, we really enjoyed ourselves
Stunning Time
This course was amazing for winter conditions. It was great compared to courses in Phoenix and the weather there is perfect. Beautiful layout and views. Fun holes. One of the best courses I’ve ever enjoyed. I paid $60. That’s a steal!
Wow
If you have the chance play this course I went 2 days in a row because of how beautiful it was I’ll be back for sure
