del Lago Golf Club sits at an elevation of 3,400 feet, enjoying a temperature that is five degrees cooler than Tucson in the summer, which makes a big difference under the hot Arizona sun. Winding through the hills and valleys of the high desert, the golf course features over 120 feet of elevation changes that present tricky uneven lies. The dramatic undulations also offer beautiful views of the Rincon and Santa Catalinas Mountain ranges. Golfers start at the highest point on the course and then play down into the valley before getting to the back nine, which plays along the Pantano Wash. The first hole is the only forced carry on the course, the remaining holes are friendlier off the tees. Seven lakes dot the golf course, coming into play on six holes, and there is also heavy bunkering around the greens.

Golf or fishing
Someone is going to get hurt on a few holes with all the kids fishing around the tee box and greens.
Nice desert track but conditions a bit rough
Love the design of the course but the condition is a bit rough in early June. A lot of dead Bermuda areas that haven’t greened up yet, leaving hard pan type lies. Hopefully with some proper watering, the turf will improve. The condition this past winter with the overseeding was much better. Still it is a fun play.
Hot Golf
Hot day but a great place to play a quick round of golf. Fairway are dried out, but the fairways are soft. Welcome to Arizona golf in the summer.
Great Layout
As always great layout. Traps lousy. Fairways good condition with roll. Greens typical for Az summers.
Once a great course
This course was awesome for the first few years but time and upkeep are taking its toll. Love the layout it fairways are dry and brittle and bunkers are unplayable. Greens were still in good condition as were the tee boxes. Overall it’s a good value for the price due to friendly staff and layout.
Great track Conditions not so much
Del Lago is a great layout 20 minutes from my house. Love the core especially the par fives but the last couple times I’ve played the conditions are really marginal. Many bare lies off the greens.
The card paths are In bad need of resurfacing. Greens and tees are OK. The bunkers are in terrible condition many of them without sand.
Summer golf is here
The rates are down but so is the quality of the course I love to play. Scalped fairways and poor bunkers are a bummer but if I can play it for 25 dollars I will!
Always great
It’s a long drive for me but I’m always happy to play at Del Lago
