About
Carved from forests of towering oaks and pines, Old Corkscrew Golf Club exhibits all of the superior characteristics that define Nicklaus Signature courses. The absence of houses around the golf course adds to the secluded and peaceful feel that is provided by the dense thickets of trees that surround it. Jack Nicklaus himself was a prominent presence throughout every phase of the course's construction, incorporating well balanced holes that vary in direction, look, and feel. Proper club selection will be greatly rewarded on this golf course. The fast-paced, undulating greens sit up to 20 feet above the lush, rolling fairways, which can create some tricky pin placements if you're not careful. Old Corkscrew Golf Club's fairways are rather generous, but they are framed by carefully sculpted bunkers. Several large ponds come into play on nearly every hole and there are also numerous sand traps strategically placed along the greensides.

Fun!
Very challenging course, but rewarding at the same time. A bit pricey, but worth to visit as a tourist. This course will humble you, but you will come out with better course management. Hit em straight with the driver and dial in with the wedges and you’ll be fine. Putter will need to be on point. Bring at least 2 sleeves of balls. Don’t play Pro Vs and you’ll save some money ;)

Over Priced for June in SWFL
I’ve played Old Corkscrew many times over the past 5 years since I moved to SWFL. The reason I played today was I couldn’t get on any of the other local courses either because they were doing their early summer maintenance or they were booked up. Old Corkscrew was relatively vacant and my best guess is because they have modified their only slightly since the “high season”, November through April. The staff at Old Corkscrew are always exemplary, friendly, helpful and efficient. The course was in very good condition my only gripe being the greens were recently top dressed. Also the bunkers could use a little attention, fairly inconsistent, some not having been touched in a little while.
Overall it was a great day. As I noted above my only regret is the price I paid, over $100. Even during June in SWFL the swanky Tiburon resort in Naples doesn’t charge near these amounts when their winter greens fees approach $300. I’ll avoid Old Corkscrew unless the pricing situation changes for the summer months.

Probably great at one time
Almost empty, no amenities, great layout, manager kept trying to shoo us off the course as we the only ones left at 6:30pm.

Tuff but Fair
This course is a must play! Come ready to be inspires and have all hope dashed at the same time. Every hole requires thoughtfulness to score. The moment you break focus, expect a big score. All-in-all, if you love golf, play The Old Corkscrew.

A Day Well Spent
Beautiful course, wonderful condition. Tees, fairways and greens were all beautiful. One of the more expensive courses in the are to play, but you definitely get your money’s worth. Cart guys try to discourage you from playing tees beyond the white and say if you shoot 10 - 12 over your norm you should be happy, but I disagree. Course is laid out very fair and while small greens are a challenge, you should play well here. I didn’t play well but both my wife and I still thoroughly enjoyed it. We’ll be back!

Excellent Course and Challenging
This is a must play course. Great layout and will challenge your shot making abilities. It will make you think about where to hit your shot. The greens where in great shape, good speed, and the ball rolled nicely. You’ll use every club in your bag.

Such large perfect greens with a roller coaster feel to it breaks up the normal boring flat greens in Southwest Florida
